Today I thought I would show you an update for my current Destiny character. I think it's awesome to have the different classes.. But with the amount of time I have put into this character - it'll take forever to get them all with the best kit.. Fun times.

Fun Run

Day 453 & 454

So I kind of left Saturday deliberately so I could do two pictures today. Today was the day of our fun run, we managed to raise about £400 last I checked for the Heart of Kent Hospice so I'm really proud of our efforts. And thank you to anyone who donated. 

I managed the 5k in about 35-40 minutes so I was very happy with myself. The running that I have been doing helped as far as I could tell. They had a paint station every 1k so you had an idea of how far you were so that helped. Plus it didn't seem so bad at all. Yeah, I was tired and my legs ache a little but it was such good fun. There was a massive turn out as well, over 1000 people running! They ended up writing out more numbers by hand as they stopped at 1000 with printing. 

Here you can see me and Amy and one of just myself. It was a great day. Definitely want to do it again. Hell, I want to do more charity stuff. I hope this isn't a one time buzz.

Played us some badminton today, haven't been for quite a while so I was rather rusty to say the least.. Sort of got back in to the swing of things towards the end of the night when everyone else had no energy left. Someone else didn't have such a good time it would appear. I didn't see what happened. I just know this was the aftermath.

Legendary

Holy poop. This is my first legendary other than my cape, I got it after a multiplayer match (witch I was awesome in but was not recording..) randomly. I went to the Cryptarch and decoded it and boom! Legendary!

Triple

Day 445, 446 and 447

Well, I have never had to do a triple post before. Friday night I fell asleep - which seems to be happening more and more lately. I fall asleep without realising or planning to.. Yesterday it just wouldn't have any of it so - Tada! A triple post. Exciting stuff isn't it?

I think I'll do it picture by picture this time, something different also.

This first picture is the one I was planning to use Friday night, I think.. Nando's have just popped the butterfly chicken into a burger. Great choice in my opinion. The man who served me set up the discount with the gym I am a member of. When they were promoting, there was a competition for the most push ups in 30 seconds - someone did 48. That's more than 1 a second!

This second picture is me being all manly and stuff, carrying gravel from my dads car to the back garden. We did have bark along the fence but foxes and animals kept digging it up thinking it was a giant litter bin.. So they're trying with gravel. They asked me to carry it round for them will they planted stuff so I did. Amy thought it be a good idea to take a picture. So here you go.

This final one is a colouring book. Now, yes we are 21 but it is really awesome. I really like the cover, I used to do doodles like that on everything so I just like the cover. Might do some colouring.

Otherwise it has been business as usual. Played more Destiny, it's really awesome. I've levelled my character up to level 22 so I am in the light levels. Now it is just working out how to get legendarys to go further on!

Pug Thoughts

Day 444

So. I made a boo boo. Amy took a picture for me for my blog and.. I forgot to get her to send it to me. Slight fail. But I have a replacement as luckily 9gag is awesome and full of stuff.

So we wanted to go to Pizza Express today, haven't been since we got back from America - which for us is now an official time scale. We got there.. Lots of children.. Party.. No tables until 8:30 and assuming it was 7 when we got there, decided that Nando's is the only logical choice.

And this is where my picture should be.. As I had the new butterfly chicken burger - which is just the butterfly chicken in a bun. In all fairness. But it is rather large and tasty. So you'll see that tomorrow if I don't forget.

We did manage to see an iPhone 6 though. They were setting up the display in Carphone Warehouse so we had a look.. The plus size looks enormous not that the regular one is small.. I just don't really care. Still got over a year left on my current contract either way..

Instead, a pug contemplating life. Majestic.

Brownie Tray

Day 443

So I've been doing this for over 400 days, yet I still can't keep track of what number I am on. I have to check everyday on the previous post otherwise.. I would guess and we'd be up to 700 already.

So I played Destiny with an old work colleague from my days at the Coop and I think it really excels with the multiplayer aspect. You get so much more out of the game, it's more enjoyable and helps you get better stuff. I mean, what more could you want? 

I'm pretty lucky. With work I can get Office 2013 for Windows and 2011 for Mac for only £8.95! Corporate licences are awesome.

Amy bought me this. It came in the post. It's tasty. It's bad but.. So good. It's a brownie topped with a layer of chocolate with goodies melted into it. I can see crunchie.. Malteser.. Dairy Milk.. Oo it is so good.

Bitter

Day 442

So.. Like.. I know today's picture is totally 100% what you wanted to see. My odd drinking habit - non alcoholic I might just add. I like to drink bitter lemon as it is which people often find odd to say the least. Especially as it is a mixer, it's like an addition to a drink.. Not a drink by itself but that doesn't stop me. Of course. I enjoy it. It's cheap. Awesome all around.

Had some soft shelled tacos for tea which I really enjoyed. We got the mildest flavour because.. Neither of us are too fond of spice. The tacos were like boats which you could fill up nicely and not worry about making a mess. Nice and simple. My plate was clean but I washed it anyway, just because. 

I feel bad. I've said I will edit and upload stuff to YouTube but the Sims 4 is distracting me so bad! My dad's half way through his career to becoming a master blogger or some sort.. Families for some reason..

Trifle

Day 441

So fail. I pressed save on my sims world yesterday and it crashed an I lost it all! Luckily I hadn't done a shed load so I made a new character today. Now I am a writer. 

My dad made trifles on the weekend as you can see and they were rather lovely I must admit. Now I don't like strawberries and custard so my was cake, jelly, banana and cream. It was so tasty.. I accidentally forced myself to finish it all. Such a shame isn't it?

It's getting to that awkward time of year where it's cold in the morning but still not too bad at midday.. Plays havoc with my body temperature. You can never quite get the balance with what you're wearing to be okay between the two.

Went for a run this morning. That's still happening. Fun run soon. Paint. And stuff.

Success

Day 440

I don't know about you but I would say that this is a much improved site compared to yesterday. Basically, to play Sims 4 I have dual booted the MacBook so it has both OS and Windows. Luckily there is a ready installed tool which let's you do this so it should've been easy. 5 hours later it was done. I had to manually configure the installation files because they wouldn't work and fiddle with other bits.. The end result is a very smooth running game. Like, crazy smooth. 

My Sim is called Gregory Stitch and is a nerd. Ha.

A colleague of mine has recently returned from holiday in Hawaii and.. My nickname at work is Hawaiian Joe. Apparently my skin tone makes me look Hawaiian alongside my hair colour and my amazing suiting when it comes to Hawaiian shirts. I will keep this tin, it's really nice as it slides open. Pop something important in there.

Sour

I will start with the picture. Because you are really missng out. American sour patch kids are amazing, especially in comparison to the English version which we made this year. They are so sour but flavourful and lovely all at once. Plus, you can make people pull interesting faces. 

My honest opinion of Destiny at the moment is divided. The single player is amazing with the free roaming and integrated coop so you don't have to worry about forming parties. The enemy encounters are brilliant, the range if weapons and the bounty system are all great. But the multiplayer - not really interesting me. I will play it but there is no real variety. You just get matched up against a team of people who say they are playing for fun but are trying far too hard. It doesn't have that competitive feel I was expecting from Bungie, they've always been good with creating a community based multiplayer world. Maybe they've got a bit rusty with it all.

I have about.. 2 hours recorded? It's all there ready, hopefully I can have a bit of a play with the clips and get some on YouTube! 

Puggle Wrap

Today's picture was nabbed from 9gag; although I wish it wasn't. I probably wouldn't wrap any dog let alone a pug in bubble wrap is it'll probably be really hot but.. It looks so happy. I don't think they know how to be unhappy to be honest. 

At the moment.. With the videos.. I record with the capture card.. Export them to the movies folder.. And then open them in iMovie - specifically 9 as they've removed things like splitting clips in 10. Because that makes sense. Th capture us actually really good quality, I am honestly quite surprised. It records in 720p at the moment but I am genuinely happy with it, it looks aljust the same as on the screen. I just need to record an intro for the clips to have and then done. I will pop them up to YouTube and let you know.

Destiny

Day 435

Another smaller post today.. I have been recording some gameplay from Destiny which was released commercially today. I really like it, it's a mash up of Halo and Borderlands which is like a dream game for me. I still can't believe they spent 300 million pounds making it. Better show in the game you'd like to think!

This picture is from Universal Studios, this is just out the front of the Hard Rock Cafe, not that you can see it. It seems like such a long time ago already which kinda sucks because.. It was amazing. I hope one day we'll be able to go back.

Memories

Day 433

Sunday. It just feels awkward. You want to do stuff but Sunday everything is shut and then you can't be bothered.. It's an odd I between day.

We went for a walk with some friends and a dog. We visited some places that we hadn't been to in a very long time. We went through some woods which we used to run around in at night with the Scouts.. Everything was still pretty much the same. Just some new trees had fallen and some new fences had been put up. It was like a long muddy walk down memory lane. And also one tired dog which is what you want.

Watched some TV.. Watched Strictly with Amy and my parents. It was the pairings today with the professionals and the stars.. Murray, the lady who's name I can't remember, the tennis lady.. She just.. No. No rythm there at all in the test dance. It was painful. I don't know a hell of a lot about dancing myself so I won't pretend to know anything but.. Nope. 

So this is our little display, most of this is from Florida, the little minions were added today as my mum got them at a boot sale. It's nice. Memories forever and right where I can see them all the time.

BBQ and Oreos

Day 431 & 432

It happens again. I must have been quite tired yesterday because.. I just laid on the bed for a couple and minutes and gone. Out cold until this morning. So my apologies but I shall double post for your reading pleasure.

So the Sims 4 has come out recently and.. They've done something which I really don't agree with. They've released it just for Windows as an OS and not for Mac.. Even though they released a demo for both. The website says they are focusing in this version as well with no release date for Mac. Just seems really crazy that they'd give both platforms and demo and then only one the game.. Even if that's only initially! 

I have watched a lot of cat videos today. Internet.

We went to Asda and shopped around a little.. Got some chocolate orange lots of joy which are really tasty. They've also made cheese string into a spread which I really don't see working.. At all. If I wanted a cheese string sandwich, I would just peel a cheese string into a sandwich which works just the same. And is more fun. No knives involved.

We decided to have an impromptu BBQ today as we had stuff in the freezer left over from the previous. It was a big multipack which had burgers, sausages, chicken and corn on the cobs. It was all very tasty. See the pic down below, we moved it from the decking. This way we didn't have to carry everything up the too and then all the way back down. 

We then watched Dr Who.. And.. I don't know. This Peter Capaldi looks like the type who would suit playing him but the story lines their givng him are a bit wishy washy. Last weeks with the Daleks? They just appeared. Usually there is a big build up to them returning but these ones appear to have just been floatng around killing stuff when he ran into them. Just doesn't feel like it used to. Hopefully it develops a bit more further down the line.

We tried the peanut butter Oreos today. They don't work as well as the normal ones, the creaminess from the originals makes it less dry to eat.. Where as the peanut butter element dries your mouth out quicker. Tasty, but not quite as pleasurable to eat. I will update you with our verdict on the cookie dough and birthday cake variants in due course.

Lollipop

So the Christmas stuff is coming out in force in a lot of the shops. The first that Amy bought was a sweet tin which has all the classic sweets in like love hearts, Parma violets (yuck) and drumsticks. So here, Stitch picked one out. That ones his now. I've heard these lollies be called a huge range if things.. Like.. I call them space lollies, someone I worked with calls them chalk lollies? I don't know the real name. Do you?

Ice Bucket

So, Amy my Mum and Dad and Sister had all been nominated for the ice bucket challenge and they thought - hey, let's do it all together. They thought I had been nominated but at that point in time I hadn't, either everyone likes more or they don't like the idea of seeing me wet.. Anyway. When they found out they were well up for nominating me so yeah. I poured water on my Mum and Dad first. Then Amy poured water on my Sister. And then my Mum and Dad poured it on me and Amy. Viscous circle. Luckily I don't mind the cold so I quite happily sat there.. Amy.. May have fell of the chair.. A tad. You'll see if you have me on Facebook.

Just a quick little one today. Not too muh happened today, work and the usual stuff. Had a nice burger for tea.

This picture is from Colleague of the Month which I was awarded last month, what happens is you get a little glass statue type thing which goes on your desk. You'll have a picture of yourself and also all the nominations that you got to win. My picture was taken from my holiday. I think it looks pretty good.

Movie Night

So first day back to work. The jet lag didn't help at all, sleep isn't easy to come buy for a long period of time.. But hopefully having this routine will kick my sleeping pattern back into gear.

We were planning on having pork chops for tea. But the shop was sold out. They only ever sell out when we want them! And probably many other times when we don't and are not checking the shop. This was one of them times though. 

As we were going to see Sex Tape, we decided to go to the Hungry Horse as it is cheap and cheerful and has deals on all throughout the week so it was bound to be a bargain. I had the big plate gammon which is like 10oz of lovely meat. It's not the best quality but if you're getting 10oz for £6.49 then you really can't complain. And I didn't. Plus, as it was Monday you get your drink for £1. Amy had this H cheese and bacon burger but.. We don't know what the H stood for. Also had an ice cream sundae as I am having withdrawal symptoms from all of the Ben and Jerry's.

Sex Tape was so good. Genuinely funny and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone. Jason Segel and Cameron Diaz just go really well together. Today was the cineworld early screening but I think it's out Wednesday.. So ha. Just go enjoy it on a really busy Orange Wednesdays. Not that today wasn't busy but usually these screenings are packed.

So we were on holiday, people took in upon themselves to tinker with the dynamics of our rooms.. Amy got a mountain of toys.
