Halloween

Day 486 & 487
So I tried to upload this last night but it wouldn't take the pictures for whatever reason. So I am doing it this morning.

So we quite like making Halloween decorations and bits and bobs. Amy made these Halloween cake pops. It's crumbled up fairy cakes mixed with vanilla frosting so it all sticks together. The outside is chocolate melts which are these American sweets which come in all different colours. Mixing yellow and red does not make orange just so you know.. We found out. The details are painted on using black gel food colouring. They taste nice and look pretty cool.

And obviously the classic Halloween decoration is a pumpkin. Amy got a free left over one from school and we also got two extra. I carved the one with a flame in the background and Amy did the other two with the faces. It went a lot better than last year because we knew what we were expecting when we out our hands in the pumpkins.. Still yucky. We sat with the window open and we heard a lot of people complimenting them. High fives all around.

And that's my dad with a fire lighter.
