About Me

So, you are reading my Blog and I thought I should have an About Me page, to let you know who you are actually reading about. I have been running this page for just over two years, but have only really got into doing it properly recently in November 2014. You'll probably see a change if you went back far enough, I used to just share a picture and have a little bit of text here and there.. Now I put some real substance in, something which I hope you as a reader will want to come back for and share with a friend. I saw this a lot as well - every view means a lot to me, and I thank you it.

My name, is Matthew T Haley - I will leave the T out for the heir of mystery. I am currently 22 years old as of the 19th of February this year and work as a First Line Support Analyst for KCC. My favourite colour is purple, number is seven and animal is penguin. I have an unhealthy obsessions with the Disney character Stitch as well, in total there are now seven plush versions which I like to hug on a regular occasion - yeah. I really love drawing, I have a gallery available on the right hand side of my main page which you can browse through, I have also included the link to the main sources of my art work on the bar above. I also love reading and one hope to have my own work published so I can pick it up off a shelf in a book store. I have also been to university for one year, but left as I really felt it was not for me - this however is me and a cat.

Something I get asked a lot when people learn that I have a blog is why am I doing it? I think until recently I have never really had a solid answer which I could lay out to them. As much as I would love to generate revenue from this and see where it takes me in this ever expanding world of social media; right now I think this is more for me. Here I can share my experiences, talk about things I love, and look back in fondness. A digital diary which I can share with the world.

I enjoy social media. As you may have seen from my main page, I have Twitter for those little moments, Instagram for the pictures you want to share and YouTube to one day have my gaming videos. There are some on there at the moment, you can feel free to go and have a browse. I currently have an Elgato game capture card which I bought whilst on holiday in Florida which works fine, it is just the video editing side on the Macbook Pro which is causing some problems and I have no idea why. Off topic, lets move on.

You may have guessed that I enjoy gaming, I really do. I currently have an Xbox 360 and Xbox One. I also play games on Steam via the Mac - this is mainly the Binding of Isaac and Knights of Pen and Paper. I am a self diagnosed Gamerscore Whore - I find achievements terribly addicting and currently have 67,891 Gamerscore.. I have the curse of the odd number from playing Luxor ages ago when I first got my first 360! My tag is iMaticus which you may notice on a lot of other things I use, such as Twitter etc.

I would have to say that gaming is only fourth love, behind food, my family and also my amazing girlfriend Amy. We have been together for over four years now and have shared many a life experience and quite honestly - I wouldn't have it any other way. Being together for so long means that she has been here for the start and all progression of this page and encourages me to the moon and back. This is my favourite picture of the two of us, rather dashing if I do say so myself - from our last school prom in year 13.

So what can you expect from this blog? One thing you can always expect, is my straight opinion. I don't mind sharing my opinion even if it is a little bit out and there and sometimes controversial because I don't believe in half measures. Everyone has their own set of views, I myself feel that I am a very logical thinker so to me everything plays out differently in my mind. You can expect to share in my ups and downs, experiences and all the rest of it which really doesn't make a lot of sense. I also greatly value your feedback, feel free to Tweet me, direct message me where you can, but I have also set up an email address for the page - matttalkslife@gmail.com where I invite your questions.

Thanks for reading, and feel free to carry on. If you are new here - you technically have two years of catch up to do!
