So we went to Tesco's today and I'm not going to lie but I think superstores are outdoing game shops. I got this today for £15 and in game shops they still want £30+ for it! It's really fun though, the animation is really good. It's really interesting to watch your little Mii run around playing tennis. Street pass lets you play other Miis as well so that'll be pretty awesome. Just got to hope that I find some people with it.

This is Boofle, a present I got for Amy. He is rather cute and has a rather nice reindeer onesie which comes off and everything. Just a happy chappy really.

Saw both Anchorman films today, I had never seen the first one but I have always heard people taking about it.. Memes based around it.. So I had expectations. Very funny. As is the new second one - very funny. I would definitely recommend going to see it, it's been out for a week but the showing today was sold out anyway. I like Brick.

So my brother is home for Christmas. There are 4 chairs in the living room one of which is usually for the cat. Now there are 4 bums to seat - the cat gets displaced. He is now a chair arm kind of cat. He looks happy enough.

Dat Wind

So unless you have the best sound proofing and the dirtiest windows - it's is really quite miserable outside. Raining all day and windy as hell. It's crazy! I guess it's only strange to us because it'll happen only once every now and then in England. The thing I like is how the rain makes the puddles move; like tiny waves. It's pretty awesome and only heavy wind like this makes them do it. It's the exact same thing that makes the waves you see at the seaside. Boom.

Day 175

We got these in HMV. They're so awesome - we haven't tried them yet but assuming they work - awesome. They'll keep cold drinks cold and hopefully make warm drinks cold. That would be nice. Would mean you wouldn't need to wait for your beverage to chill in the fridge. And by the way - that's Dexter in the background. Season 7. Oh yeah.

So Amy just really fancied decorating some biscuits today so.. We went to the shops and got some bits and these are the results. She's going to make some more with melted chocolate and stuff so yeah. Awesome.

This picture is the bonnet of my old car, pretty sure I have shown something like this before but I really think it's awesome. From a very cold, wet and windy night nature makes this amazing pattern which is very artistic in its own right. Good guy nature sharing her art for free eh?

'Merica

Something strange about cats - they only seem to run away from things that aren't dangerous. For example, my cat will run from pillows, hats, irons, hoovers and cables. But when it's a car they just.. Walk a little bit faster. Something that could really hurt them they just pander slowly under a fence of into a bush. I don't understand cats. Y u so lazy?

So Amy knows a lady in America, they send each other a Christmas package every year and these came today. Swedish Fish candy canes! Swedish Fish are just tasty anyway and these are no different; they taste and smell exactly the same. Only difference is - these'll make your whole mouth orange. It's pretty cool.

So someone I like to watch stream - who only streams at night due to the country he lives in - has posted 10 hours of content on YouTube so.. That's what I'm doing. Woo.

This is a new drink from Mountain Dew, I first saw it in a petrol station and really wanted to try it.. Today I did. It is awesome. It tastes like an old sweet but I can't quite place my finger on it so.. Someone else drink it and tell me what sweet it is!

8th Season

I actually managed to record two videos of Isaac today. It wasn't the smoothing of runnings.. The first one I started and got half way through and then was attacked by a fly. It wouldn't go away. Bzzzzz! So I had to move somewhere else. Finished that one up. Started the second recording - phone call half way through lasting about 20-30 minutes. Sod's law! Just got to edit them. I'm pretty sure I am going to have across to a lot of quiet time this week so I might record in bulk then edit and upload over a couple of days. Maybe. We'll see how it goes.

We had Pizza Hut for tea as we were out on the hunt for Christmas jumpers. Well Amy was. We had the usual pizza but tried the bacon garlic bread starter. It had bacon so it's just instantly good. Totes. It was so tasty, was nice to see our favourite Hut busier than usual. They're also doing this prize thing but you can't open the thing they give you.. You have to go back next year to claim it. There's a free car up for grabs so yeah! Plus you get pizza both times. Good.

Breaking Bad is just ahhhhhh so good! I can see why everyone hyped it up so much. Just can't stop watching - it's like chain smoking but with awesome tv and time constraints.

We were in Maidstone today and this had dropped in price so boom! We're up to date with How I Met Your Mother and we actually decided to watch some more.. 2 seasons down and 6 more to go.. That's a lot of TV but challenge accepted! 

Inconspicuous

I know it's a bit late for me to be jumping on the Breaking Bad band wagon but hell I am. I'm watching it through and I have pretty much watched 2 series already and it's so good. Just awesome. It's genius how it can from making you feel emotional for the characters to heart stopping action. I had been debating buying it on DVD as I had heard so much good about this but I never did incase I didn't like it. I still really just want to see what happens in Dexter..

I actually wrapped nearly all of my presents today. Only got little bits left. I got that horrible panicy feeling when u couldn't find one of my presents because.. Where else could it have gone!? Under a magazine - oh yeah. 

I'm back on my DS after a stint of not playing it.. I'm at the tedious points in the game but it's now quite rewarding so. Maybe I'll put my creations to good use one day.

Cats are usually quite good at noticing things.. Like for example when my cat is sitting next to the door. He will notice as soon as you are near it because he thinks he's getting in. Today.. He was either ignoring us or looking at something - we couldn't see a thing. Who knows. Made him jump when he did realise we existed.

We randomly lit some candles today rather than having the lamp on. We like to think the lamp is just that little bit more energy efficient than the light - candles are even better. No energy usage what so ever. And they looked nice - strange it was so dark, it was only 4:15!

So I shared Amy's lovely gingerbread house.. But obviously at some point we wanted to eat it. The moment has come and I'm afraid this is what it looks like now. It's like a buffet - you just walk past and snap a little bit off to chow on every now and then. It's rather  nice I must say, the icing is nice and the little balls are chocolate. All good. Looks a little sad though. 

11-12-13

I watched me some films today. Let me tell you about them.

So first I watched Sinister because I really wanted to go and see it in the cinema but never did. It was interesting and I could definitely see it being scary if I wasnt distracted and it being day light n'all. I like that horror films actually do research into the background of the horror stories they are showing. A lot of films just make up random stuff as and when it fits the story so that things make sense. Not that I want what happens in the film to be real.. The ideas are historically accurate.

I also watch Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters. It was pretty awesome. The only thing that annoyed me which is a classic problem with action films is that the main characters get really hyped up and act all cocky.. Blah blah blah.. But then in most of the fight scenes they get beaten up a lot and win on a whim. When I watch an action film I want the main characters to kick some stuff like in Taken - he doesn't mess around. Just gets the job done. Still a good film though - I like how a traditional children's story was transformed into a more adult - quite gory - action film.

A very old picture - not the easiest thing to see either. It was a universal 100 years cover with the app looking at King Kong. Pretty awesome - this is probably first when augmented reality was being used commercially.

Day 162

So I had work today for the most part.. But after that we went to Bluewater and I got my final Christmas present! Woo. Now I've just got to wrap it all and I have this strange thing if either being really good at it.. Or horrendous and if I am doing well - I can't keep my motivation up to get it all done to a half decent level. This picture though was while we were eating at Nando's - I never remember the decorations being so extravagant but these are pretty cool. Spinning shining stars hanging from hopefully very strong metal string! Quite nice to look at whilst eating a medium chicken burger a sneaky slice of halloumi cheese chucked in.

Breakers

So I spent this morning floating around some breakers yards with my dad looking for a window switch for my car as it had broken. No luck.. So we thought we would just have a look at the wires to see if one was loose or something.. Turns out a tiny little bit plastic had snapped off! Fixed it with blue tac - because that's what we do. Man stuff. Screwdrivers. Yeah.

I also watched Cabin In The Woods today as it has been highly recommended to me by a lot of people and uhh.. Yeah. That really caught me by surprise. I really enjoyed it but I don't think it should fall so deeply into the horror category.. But I guess everyone's levels of horror are different. I was very surprised when all of these mythical and magical creatures appeared and started tearing the place up! Plus Thor is in it. By that I mean the actor who plays Thor.. Thor.

So I was just looking through my pictures and I forgot I did this today. One of the cars we wanted to look at was too high up so.. I just aimed my phone and spammed the photo button and managed to get some good clear shots. Unfortunately it's not what we were looking for so for now; this can act as a momento on here.

Day 160

So Amy really wanted to make a ginger bread house. So we did. It's not too big and it was pretty simple to make. The icing was a bit annoying because you had to keep it warm otherwise it wouldn't flow properly out the bag. Luckily I have warm hands so that wasn't too hard to do. I think I cut the hole in the bag too big as well but it worked. We have no idea how to eat it because as soon as you go for any of it it'll collapse so.. Yeah. It's a house. We added the Santa, snowman and tree though.

So we went to Maidstone today to do some more Christmas shopping, almost done. Only a couple of bits to go. O2 were doing a priority moment to get a free cracker with some chocolate in it and also a chance to win a trip to New York - it said it was out of stock. Luckily we ran into Tom's friend who said if you ask they actually had plenty in stock. So we went in - we all got one each. They said there's also another prize which was £50 voucher for Hotel Chocolate; where the cracker was from. So we went back to the car to put a load of shopping away and we opened the crackers. Amy got one of the vouchers. This was the outcome..

It's only 11pm and I'm tired. This is a crazy feeling. I have a new video for YouTube all recorded and got the audio prepared, just got to check permissions etc. as for today's picture, here is a cookie teddy bear from Sainsbury's. Pretty nice. Crunchy.

Thought I might share this with you all. I've always liked the idea of making YouTube videos and I've actually found a way with the software that I have available to me so.. Here it is. QuickTime

Day 156

So there is an application on the Mac called QuickTime which allows you to record the screen and audio picked up by the microphone. I've always wanted to make YouTube videos of some sort so at the moment I'm fiddling in iMovie to make an Isaac video so.. Yeah. If I'm happy with it I shall upload it and guess link you to it. If you're interested. 

Parcel..

So I sat in at Amy's for about 4 hours today waiting for a parcel.. That should have most definitely turned up as she paid for one day delivery after ordering it in the morning yesterday.. Nothing! All day! It's not so much the bother of it not turning up just.. That I had to stay all day. It's not a problem but it's the principle. 

It did give me a chance to watch This Is 40 which I really enjoyed. It was actually funny and the type of thing you'd feel uncomfortable watching with your parents.. That kind of funny. The oldest daughter in the movie did what I did and crammed the whole of Lost into a couple of weeks and I could relate to it and I found it quite strange.. And very unbelievable that she understood it first time. You have to watch it more than once unless you do research on the Internet. Or cheating. I call that cheating.

Amy got a nice little Simon's Cat Callander for school and this was the little tag that came with it. It's rather cute if I do say so myself! I also like the kitten. Kitties.

Good ol' game

So I knew I was getting close to the end of my Xbox live gold membership and I was planning to cancel it so I could buy prepaid cards from shops - it's just that little bit cheaper. Turns out I had a free month applied to my account which stopped the auto renew so I didn't have to call.. Funny how things work out. Last time I called I got stuck on hold for far too long! So I shopped around and Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury's were all looking at £38. Still cheaper but not by much. I ended up going to Game which was a great deal. £33.99 for 12 months of live and Fable Heroes, Ms Splosion Man and The Maw all for free! Also 3 months access to some sports channels but I don't really think I'll need that.. I have no idea about sports. Needless to say that worked out rather well. I'm not sure how long this offer is going on for but.. It's worth it if you're coming to the end of your subscription also. 

Pen burst in my pocket. Dam. Yeah. Life.

I also cancelled my LoveFilm today - I really picked it don't get me wrong but.. I'm was basically spending £5 a month waiting for the series of Dexter and Walking Dead to go and I don't think that'll be anytime soon. Apparently Netflix have them so I might see if I can get me a free trial over there and see how that is. Who knows, all of them have different things. All we need now is one person with lots of money to bring them all together under one service - now that would make a ton of money.

I'm kind of glad it's cold, I get to wear my 'Russian' hat without feeling odd.
