Topper

Day 426
I remember I always used to think that it the end of the weekend when I heard the Antiques Roadshow music on the TV. Now I have a TV in my room, I don't get that prompt so I get it when I realise I have work tomorrow. Same effect. Yeah.

I streamed for about 3-4 hours today with the capture card. You can find me at www.twitch.tv/iimaticus. I think there is a way to turn on uploading your streams so there is always stuff there.. But I am still learning with all this. I will start making YouTube videos soon as well, just scared about commentating so I might just start uploading.. See how it goes.

We went to La Tasca today, at Bluewater. This is the first time going on our own as a two and our second overall. Today we thought we would choose 3 dishes each and then eat that way rather than sharing. So we can try more stuff. I had prawns in a garlic and chilli 'sauce' which was a pool of oil.. Very nice though despite the tails being left on. I also had chicken and chorizo cooked in a white wine sauce which is awesome. Finally, pork cheek which comes on a bed of skinny fries. The best way I can describe pork cheeks is like jerky, but super soft. It's hard to pick up because it just falls apart as it is slow cooked. Amy had the chicken dish as well, with patatas which is potatoes with tomato sauce and some cream. Also encinadas I think they were called? The description said 'stuffed with spicy beef and cheese' but we didn't know what was being stuffed.. It's like a really thin pastry layered up. Good stuff also. Taste card makes it 2 for 1 so we paid for 3. Awesome.

Today's picture is of the Micky Mouse antenna thingy we bought, has a wizards hat. Fantasia I am assuming the reference is to. It's pretty cute, we also have a Perry the platypus one from Phineas and Ferb which I have probably spelt wrong. And Amy giving a thumbs up, a rather excitable one.

Quicken

Day 425
To me it's still 5 okay? Sorry it's late.. But then again I am pretty sure most people who read do it the next day anyway.

Just a quick one so I don't keep repeating myself.. A picture of Amy eating ice cream. Mint chocolate. At this point she had heard the phone making the shutter noise so. Ha.

Label

Day 424
Okay.. I know it's late again. This had nothing to do with jet lag. We were just out.

Yeah; we spent most of the day relaxing again. We then went out for a curry at the Raja of Kent in Maidstone with my work. It was quite nice, it's a buffet so you just eat. I didn't have too much but it was tasty, especially for a buffet due to the amount of food they pump out so quick.

We then went to a pub where some colleagues proceeded to get a little tipsy, did some karaoke and generally had a nice time. We then went to Tesco where the picture is from because.. The labelling wasn't thought through all that well.. Ahem.

Long Sleep

Day 423
There's not much to say today.. As we slept in until the afternoon..

We did go to McDonalds for food because it is so much tastier to us than the American version. That's just our opinion anyway.

Otherwise just chilling, sorting stuff out and I've been playing with the capture card. I love it.

Here's a nice shor from the plane also.

Adjusting

Day 422
Sorry, it's a bit late.. I'm not so good with jet lag in turns out. I am hungry at strange times, had like a four hour nap after coming in from the flight.. But I will just have to get around to it at some point.

The flight was okay. Felt really bad because I couldn't sleep at all and everyone else seemed to be able to.. I just wanted to sleep. I did watch the Amazing Spider-Man 2 which was pretty good. Enjoy the new Peter Parker, but Toby Maguire is still the one I grew up with.

My parents were amazed by the amount of goodies we bought home, an entire 20kg bag full.. It's going to take a while to get through but we'll manage of course.

I didn't have any issues adjusting back to the normal side of the car and road and a manual, I think I prefer the gears still. Just that little edge of control that you get from telling the engine what to do. It has a new suspension leg and we also put some air in the tyres today, it's like my car have a new pair of running shoes.

We went to see and Tate and his lady friend, attempted to play Disney Monopoly but got a little bored.. And we moved onto Cards VS Humanity, we ordered it in America from Amazon and was there waiting up our return. I really like it. It's like.. Awkward because you need to be offensive but you don't want people to think you mean it. Of course no matter what you do they'll think you do. Yeah.

The capture card works after some poking a prodding, it made the display fit at first but now it's all good. Super excited for that!

This picture is a larva of sorts that my dad has been finding lately. I like bugs and stuff, just no spiders thank you. This thing is pretty big and has a huge thorn on it's bottom. Nature is awesome.

Bye Florida

Day 421
I'll do it now as I am not sure next when I will have internet access to post!

I had to do something very hard today.. I had to melt ice cream because we couldn't finish it all. You know much I love my ice cream.

Next time I post will be from England!

Last Day

Day 420
So today was quite laid back. Just packing, making sure we get everything to take back with us.

We needed a bit more room as the backpack which was going to be my hand luggage wasn't big enough; we went and bought a new holdall which shall suffice. Also found some a new tie so obviously, I was a happy bunny. Do like me a good tie.

We weren't sure what to do for lunch.. So when in doubt.. Go to Taco Bell. Just because it's cheap, tasty and next to the villa pretty much. Literally 2 minutes down the road. I had this XL burrito thing and it was messy. A tiny hole popped at the bottom so every bite made a mix of meat sauce and veg splat on your hand. Tasty though.

Then just an afternoon of watching Simpsons, some streams. I am doing research into capture settings and thumbnails and bits and bobs for when I get to using the capture card. I don't think I could ever see myself being fully committed to YouTube, I will really enjoy it but I think it's good as a hobby. I think I would get sick of games if I did it as a job. Who knows?

We went to TGI Fridays for tea. Now. The only one that is nearby in England is Bluewater.. Which is also jam packed. The one we went to.. Basically empty. We were very confused, you can tell it makes a lot of money because of the fancy menus and tables and all that jazz. The food was good but we got full up so quickly we had to leave a load. You pay less and get more out here, but you often struggle as you feel like you should be able to finish it.

We got to see the ducks one last time, happy about that. They swam all the way across the lake when they saw Amy outside. Pretty awesome. As has been this holiday. If you get the chance, come out here. You'll love it.

Not 100% sure how tomorrow's blog will work.. As when I would usually do it I'll be at about 40,000 feet so.. I may do a little one in the morning and then fight jet lag to get back into routine.

Monday 25 August 2014

New Car

Day 419
Today was different. Eventful one might say. We got up excited for Sea World, our last hurrah before we pack and all that jazz tomorrow. Got in the car and.. Nope!

Starting pulling off and it sounds like the car is ripping itself to pieces, a horrible grinding noise. So we turned around and went back to the drive way. Something's leaking. So we call the rental people who arrange for a tow truck to come so we can get a different car from the airport. Go out to check the car again and one of the tires deflated. What? Literally, 10 minutes had passed a wheel deflated. And they don't come with spares. So we got towed, we then got to pick another car. We went for the same one but a GT version in a nice shiny blue.

We went straight to Sea World from the Airport because we thought we may as well. It was opon until 7 so plenty of time. There was no queue to park. No queue to get in really. No queue to get on any rides - apart from to see the penguins because they are the best thing ever. The ride Manta is just like Air but it does stuff that you really wouldn't expect do at the angle they have you riding. It broke as well, but yeah. They got it working later. We saw alligators, sharks, dolphins, turtles and manta rays and loads of other stuff. They had a conveyer belt to go through the shark tube so you could look and take pictures, that was fun.

We then went to Stake and Shake and had the complete opposite experience to last time.. Sill good.. But they drinks came and then the food took ages. Last time we had to wait until we were pretty much done before the drinks came. I tried a double chocolate fudge milkshake. It was very good. Only thing was, chocolate syrup got stuck in the staw so it was like.. Near impossible to drink. Super tasty.

We had a shimmy swim. We also watched the VMA's live which was interesting. It's just finished while I am typing this all out. Beyoncé was the big finale and I don't think I got it. It was confusing for me. Meh.

Look at the shiny.

Sunday 24 August 2014

Framed

Day 418
Yay, we woke up earlyish today.

So we got in the car and pointed West and drove. I decided to have a play with the cruise control because it's not something I've had before.. It's so nice. The road we took was basically 65-70 mph the entire way so.. Set it to that and steer. It was strange at first but it appears to save a lot of fuel with the constant speed and no accelerating from yourself going up hill and stuff.

Busch Gardens is a pretty cool place. It's based off of African counties I believe and each section is named after a different country. We bought fast track just to be on the safe side.. Turns out it just wasn't very busy so we didn't use it too much. Seemed too quiet for a Saturday. The rides that we went one were good, what we noticed was their rides are a lot longer than British ones, easily being over a minute. Compared to British rides - we have the edge. No question, faster, more daring and more thrilling. All the rides were sort of like the little rides you'd go on at Thorpe Park because you walk last and see a short queue time.

One thing I will mention.. For people who like rides like detonator where they drop you straight down to the ground.. They have a ride under construction there call Falcons Fury - 300 feet tall. NOPE!

The thing I liked the most was all the animals. Which you didn't have to lay to see like the Animal Kingdom at Disney. There were tigers, ocelots, slow loris, bush babies, flamingos, snakes, otters.. I like animals. As you can see from the bottom we bought a picture which comes with a nice frame, it's not in all it's glory at the moment as we need to remove the protective plastic but we are going to wait till we are home home.

We didn't stay for too long because the heat was getting to us, it was the secnd hottest day we have had being out here.. What we found odd is that we had driven across and entire state. It was further away from home where we usually are!

We headed home and chilled for a while, it was nice to be in the air conditioning. We then headed over to Cracker Barrel for tea. This time, I tried the sugar cured ham so it was like gammon just not as salty. It was so nice, it just ripped itself apart. Amy had char grilled chicken, can't go wrong there. It's a nice place to eat, everyone is so nice and friendly and they bring you refills when your glass is half empty. We waited 5 minutes for the food and they said sorry for the wait. Service.

The rain - it was mad. We couldn't see the lake behind the villa it was so heavy and that's about 20-30 meters away. It lasted longer than what we'd had before but still not as long as England. Probably find more rain fell but it doesn't last as long. Dried in half hour too.

We went swimming in the dark; the pool has lights so we could do that. Two bouncy balls were in the filter and they are designed out of this strange.. Squishy stuff. It bounces on water basically. It's pretty cool to play with.

Tomorrow's plan of action is Sea World as it turns out.. It's only half hour from the Villa and no where near Tampa where Busch Gardens was. No idea why there is a bus between the two. We'll let you know of course.

Saturday 23 August 2014

Capture

Day 417
So Amy overslept. Like. A lot. We planned to get up at 6 to have breakfast and stuff.. And go to Busch Gardens and Sea World. But she got up at about 9:30. I tried to wake up her up for an hour to no avail.

So we just chilled by the pool. I chose to eat at Olive Garden for lunch so we could try the lunch menu. It was.. Okay. I think it was just USAs version of Italian food, it didn't hit the mark for me. And I don't understand why the starters cost as much or more than the mains or entrees. It just seems a little bit backwards to me.

There was a Best Buy next to the restaurant and I had no clue what it was. It's basically a giant PC World and it was awesome. We went to two different ones.. As I was looking for something specific.. A capture card. And now I have one - the brand new Elgato HD 60 which means that soon I will be uploading Xbox 360 content to YouTube! I am very excited, I can honestly say that I've wanted one of these for years and years. Amy bought some beats, so she was happy. The best part is - where they were at American prices.. We saved money if we bought them in England. Win win!

We chilled by the pool some more until it started thundering and lightning all over the place. Makes England's storms look like babies.

I did more stuff to the website. I am really excited, it's coming along nicely. My only problem is that the site still seems to be in it's infancy as you can't do simple stuff.. Like.. Changing picture sizes.. Removing buttons.. Changing where buttons go.. But I like it. It's very creative.

We ordered Pizza Hut as you can see below. We ordered it.. And thought it was going to be great as the pictures made them look small. Well no. It's huge. And we have lots left over. Awesome.

Friday 22 August 2014

Website?

Day 416
Bit later than I would've liked.. Getting close to the old midnight cut off.. *dramatic music*.. You get the idea.

Today was quite a relaxed day in all honesty. Spent the mouning lounging around, started some packing so we could work out if we needed an extra bag. We do - especially after today. The main activity was shopping for stuff to take home with us. Sweets, biscuits, cake mixes.. Bits and bobs. We have about 10KG of loveliness which will be sorely missed once consumed. This is all going in my holdall which was previously my hand luggage.. I am now going to use a backpack instead. Saves us buying an extra bag.

Yes I went swimming. Of course.

Had Taco Bell for tea. We were planning on getting something from Checkers but we got there.. And there's no where to sit. It's either drive through or you order at a window, and then get given the food at another one. You can sit on their outside tables but the weather didn't look too confident in itself.. So we went to get Taco Bell. It was a good choice.

We think we have solved our problems for Sea World and Busch Gardens - fast track as we would call it. Compared to England, it's not that expensive, about $20 each for one fast track on each ride. Cuts your queue time by 90% (apparently) and should allow us to try everything we want to do. We are hoping this means we will get most stuff done, starting with Busch Gardens as apparently the rides can't operate when it's raining for safety reasons etc.. And thunderstorms are due this weekend; we seem to get a lot of noise and flashes but no rain? I like it but it is confusing to my English brain.

So - website. Saw a site called Wix advertised on TV. Giving it a try, it's free web hosting and is all HTML5 editing. You can add anything pretty much so I am looking forward to playing with it. Obviously, the blog will still be there, on blogger and possibly then transferred over to that site.. Where I am not paying it has the adverts for the site but.. It'll let me expand. I can do this on Blogger just with less in terms of customisation. You'll see what happens when I do. Hopefully it'll be great. It has a submissions sectin which I hope will get the interaction up.. Watch this space.

And yes - I was using Safari. My Google Plus is auto logged in on there so yeah.

Thursday 21 August 2014

Oops..

Day 415
Shopping. Yes. Yes, we did.

First thing we did was petrol which was scary.. All different out here.. So we went in to ask what to do, turns out you lay first.. Fuel.. Then get change if you need any.. So we paid $40 and it only cost $32 and a bit.. Got some change. It makes sense, just confusing compared to what I am used to.

So we weren't sure where to go today because we had no clue about parking at that Kissimmee place.. So we went to this premium outlet place about half hour away, it was amazing. It was like Ashford but with more shops that we actually like. There was a Yankee Candle shop.. So we now have 1.5kg more candle to thing home to England. There were a lot of different things in there we'd never seen as they're obviously just getting rid of it, discontinued stuff. The 3 candles we got only cost $30 after tax so that's about.. £18? Cheapness. Got some nice shirts from the Converse Outlet, the shoes were still pretty expensive but we aren't sure how much they are new out here..

We then went to Taco Bell, it was much nicer than the other we went to because it was just Taco Bell, no messing. We had these ice cooler things and it was happy hour between 2-5 so it was only $1. As you can see below.. Amy dropped her Dr Pepper one which they kindly replaced for free. I had a cherry Mountain Dew flavoured one. They were tasty but caused multiple cases of brain freeze.

We also found this tourist shop; the first one that we have seen out here. We bought a load of post cards, some number plate things with names on, and also something else.. Which I won't mention as it is for my work colleagues.. Ha.

Then home, and swimming. Yay for swimming. A nice old couple turned up who turned out to be the people who look after the pool, I was like.. Hello.. I'm swimming.. Let me move.. Nice people.

We rented a movie on my credit card, only cost about £2 for a night. It's from a redbox which is this service they have.. Which is an unnamed redbox where you can rent DVDs, blurays and games.. Just choose, swipe and it pops out a slot on the side. We need this in England.

Splat.

Shops 'n' Stuff

Day 414
Hello there people of the internet.

We had a bit of a quiet day today.. Didn't fancy going too far away. We did however want to go to a large Wallmart, like.. Proper size. The one we had been to was a neighbourhood one and wasn't as big. This one was huge. Like what? Really? It had a McDonalds in it as well. They had a couple more flavours of Ben and Jerry's that we hadn't seen before. Massive electronics section.. These 'food' shops have more non food products; it is crazy!

Spent another hour or so in the pool. I feel pretty comfy in the pool now compared to what I was previously. I can't swim great still but it's just fun still. Pretty sure it was the sun screen making the nose peg slip off because it wouldn't stay on today.. Wiped it off with a towell and done. No water up my nose.

We went to Applebee's for tea again, had a cheaper menu so you get a starter and two mains for $25 which is pretty good. First time I have eaten zucchini as I had napa chicken.. Not sure what nationally that is but it was chicken breast with mushrooms, zucchini, bell peppers with red poratoes. Me so healthy, less than 500 calories right there. Amy had four cheese mac and cheese; which was okay but it had honey in it.. Like a pool of it at the bottom which was a shame as it made it really sweet.

Had a little wonder around Publix as well.. Bought some stuff. Getting some bits to bring home with us, cake mixes and fancy Oreo flavours.. Such as peanut butter and also cookie dough. Amazing.

The last parks we have to visit are Busch Gardens and Sea World (probably called something different) but we aren't sure how that's going to work.. As they have the shortest open hours.. And are the furthest away. An hour and a half there and then back.. Not something we fancy doing twice but I'm sure we'll work it out. Tomorrow we are thinking of shopping in Kissimmi which is just south of us. We'll let you know, obviously.

Today's picture is an interesting take on English news.. We have no idea if any if this is true but if it is - what? If not then.. Well done, you sold some magazines. Not to us but someone.

Tuesday 19 August 2014

Matching

Day 413
So today we went to Universal studios and we got there nice and quick, only 20 minutes away.. Only one toll charge at $1.25.. But then the parking is horrendous. We were waiting to get into the parking for at least an hour, I got a little annoyed. Oh well, we made it in.

It was amazing, all of the rides were themed to a film, there was Simpsons, Men in Black and obviously the main attraction - the Harry Potter areas. It was probably one of my favourite places that we have visited overall because it's got a lot more films and characters that my generation have grown up with.

We didn't get to go on too many rides unfortunately, the wait times were 60 minutes plus; and today was the hottest day since we've been out here so.. Waiting in that heat was hard. The Simpsons ride was awesome, it was static but like a 4D experience and it was really cool. There's a lot to say and not an easy way to say it.. Had some lemon slush. Like me some lemon slush.

Feet still ache like mad.

After that, we headed back to the villa to do some swimming, actually managed to get the nose peg to work so I felt a lot more comfortable swimming, did some handstands and stuff as well. I had the classic panda eyes and sore nose as I swam for about an hour at least.. Proud of myself.

We then did some research and decided to go to somewhere called Cracker Barrel for tea. We were very confused when we got there because.. It was a shop. But then there is a restaurant in with it. It was so cheap and so tasty, we both had chicken and dumplings. I couldn't finish it, it was so doughy that it filled me up super quick. The coleslaw was freshly made.. As were the chips.. As was everything. And the shop had some amazing little bits in it as well. All in all, an awesome place.

Of course the picture, we got matching shirts in the Dr Suess area at universal. How awesome are we?

Monday 18 August 2014

Stake 'N' Shake

Day 412
We had a nice rest day today. Mainly because we walked around all the Disney parks for two days straight and our feet were just murdering. Awkward really when they start doing that..

We indulged ourselves in some American day time TV which is a lot better than in the UK.. We watched the food network which had a children's cooking competition which ran back to back as the season finished last year. Little people can cook way better than us..

We tried some bacon mac and cheese 'Lays' today which are just Walkers. They're really nice; you can taste the flavour coming through. It was a competition to suggest a new flavour, there's that, mango salsa, wasabi and ginger and finally.. Cappuccino? I don't know if these are in the UK or not but yeah.

We spent a lot of time swimming, it's nice to be able to just walk out the back door and get swimming. I am not very he at swimming but I am making use of this to get better. Bought a nose peg thing as I can't keep water out my nose which does not work. Slides right off. Waste of $8!

We weren't sure what to do for tea, it started to rain really hard when we were about to go out.. Then it was really hard to find somewhere that delivers.. And then it stopped raining and we went to Stake 'N' Shake. They sell steak burgers and milkshakes. Obviously other stuff but those choices are their bread and butter. And it's really cheap, fed us both for $20. Amy had a bacon lovers burger, I had a mushroom one. So good. I also had an M&MS milkshake, Amy went Oreo. You can't see these in the picture as they were low on staff and only had 1 person making shakes for the entire place including drive thrus. It's even 24 hours on a Sunday!

Sunday 17 August 2014

Duckies

Day 411
Got another two Disney areas crossed off the list today. Woop.

We went to the Animal Kingdom first, I was really excited for this one. I really like animals and stuff, so yeah - we were thinking awesome. All of the animals seemed to be hiding, because we saw some ducks in the otter enclosure.. More ducks in the kangaroo area.. Yeah. All the other areas with animals you had to pay extra for so we decided not to, budget and stuff. Did go on a couple of rides - mainly in the dinosaur area. There was a really good one in the Asia area but it was a 40 minute queue in the sun.. We decided to take lots o fpictures. Lots of good snaps I will admit!

The second place we went to was Hollywood Studios which was amazing to walk around. All the places are obviously custom build but it was like being in a massive City. It absolutely tipped it down with rain, like the worst rain you would get in England in about 5 second for about 30 minutes. Out of no where. That was odd I will admit. They had ties.. Ahhh they were so amazingly expensive though. I wanted to hold out for Universal and see if they have ties there though. If they do.. They could be Harry Potter ones or minions!

Our feet ache like hell no. Just sayin'.

We weren't sure what to do for tea.. We ended up at CiCi's which is a pizza place recommended to us by a friend before we left. It's an all yo can eat buffet. Including unlimited refils. For $7. That includes salad, pasta and desserts as well if you want them, it is really good value and not horrendous. We then went to a Dunkin Donuts which also had a Baskin Robins alongside it. We had some ice cream which was very good, and also this Oreo milkshake.. Which afterwards I felt like going pop. The small was the same size as a large drink in England I would say.

Then, as you can see below.. I played with our duckies. Turns out they come from Mexico.

Saturday 16 August 2014

Stitch

Day 410
So we totally went to Disney World today. The place has so much car parking it is ridiculous. Like.. I wouldn't be surprised if there were about 10,000 spaces. Then again, this is shared between many different parks like the kingdom and Epcot and stuff.

We went to the kingdom first and it was crazy. Everything is built just for Disney, it's the type of thing you see in a picture and don't quite believe until you're there. There were the Disney characters and the castle and the rides and the shops and ahhhh everything else. We didn't go on too many rides as they are mainly for children. Space Mountain was pretty cool, it was like X No away out when it was still in the dark at Thorpe Park.

That took the first half of the day up. We then decided to go to Epcot which is like this awesome place with loads of awesome stuff. They have this world tourer area with sections set up for different countries from around the globe. We were excited to.. 'Go home' but it was funny to see what they thought of us. They had set up an old style village like from the 1700's. If you work there, you actually have to be from the country so there were some proper English folk. The Japanese area was by far the busiest with an amazing shop with mange stuff, pottery and figures.

There was a lot of science stuff there as well. Like how buildings hold up against hurricanes. There was a little Nemo are where you go around in a clam looking at Nemo characters and then you end up next to this ginormous fish tank. There were dolphins.

There's also a ride by Siemens which takes place in the big golf ball looking thing which Epcot is probably best known for. It is a walk through history to show how we have ended up with the tech we have today. The models of people are really realistic, they move and talk and all sorts.

We also bought ourselves a little present. Amy bought a pillow Pluto. It is like a large square pillow that folds.. But it's Pluto. Someone will know what I am on about. I bought this, Stitch. There were only 2 in the shop so I was happy to get one - he's my favourite!

Friday 15 August 2014

Candle

Day 409
So today we were planning to go to Disney but Amy didn't feel so good, we are thinking it was a little bit of sun stroke. So we slept in a bit later than usual, about half 10. A lay in was nice, it's still confusing with the time difference even though we are behind.

We decided to do some more shopping instead but we saw a sign post for Disney; it's actually really close. We are literally 30 minutes from Disney, Universal and the airport. It's pretty perfect.

We found a Yankee Candle shop today, a proper one - not an approved retailer. There was so much stuff in there that we had never seen before. Actually got to smell the bacon candle! It was really strange.. Like.. A piece of gammon being cooked on a open fire. That's the best way I can describe it. If you look at the picture down below.. Ahhhhh what? That there is a 6KG candle. 4 wicks. $299.99. Because you can never get enough candle.

We also bought some hats today. We also experienced a crazy weather change. It was super hot and humid, walked out of the shop after about 10-15 minutes and rain. Like, heavy. The roads flooded because there aren't many drains but it couldn't have been raining for longer than 10 minutes! There's currently thunder and lightning going on. It's really odd because this is something to notice in England.. People just wait out in the rain and carry on like normal.

We went to Applebee's for tea and it was so good. Tasty stuff I must say. The service out here is really different compared to England. Every time they are even close to your table the double check it's all good, get a refill ready when you are half done.. Just nice. And they chat - just because. And it works out so much cheaper as well.

All is good and awesome.

The amount of people that ask why we in America - everyone here appears to want to leave? Like to go to England. Odd.

Thursday 14 August 2014

Day Two

Day 408
We sort of went all around the houses today. And by houses - I mean shops. We decided to Skype people this morning so we thought we'd just go to some shops and see what we could find. The first place we went to was Super Target which is like a huge supermarket that sells everything. Food, clothes, books, sports stuff, bakery.. Other stuff as well.

There was a GameStop there as well which I was very excited for. I could get an Xbox One for £399! It's crazy!

We then went to a Wallmart which had the widest variety of Ben and Jerry's we have seen so far. We bought two new flavours, candy floss and also brownie cheesecake.. That's a thing.

We then came back to the Villa and had Mac and cheese which was really nice. One was jalapeño flavour so it had a subtle luck.

We also went to two different malls today.. Malls.. Still sounds strange I am not going to lie. Luckily they were only 10 or so miles away which was nice. Didn't buy too much.. I'm not sure what I was expecting as it just shops in another country. But the second we went to, I think it was Millenia, was really fancy. The too floor was just like.. Ahhh.

So for tea we went to Wendy's which is our first time eating out in America. I know it took a little while but it was so good. We had this bacon burger thing which I can't remember the name of.. But the cashier hit on me. Said I had nice eyes and called my name and waved as I left. Yup.

Came back to the villa, had a swim. Fed some duckies. And now watching TV.

Ice Cream

Day 407
So today is day one or America. Technically.. I missed out yesterday because of the time difference.. Here it is 22:20 as a read it where as it is the early hours of the morning back home. Crazy stuff. Basically done a 24 hour day without meaning to. Couldn't sleep on the flight, it was too hard. Can't sleep sitting up.

The flight itself was okay. 9 hours with a load of new film releases. I watched Noah, 300 and Captain America 2. Pretty good. Good wasn't bad either. Getting through the terminals at Gatwick was rather quick.. Like.. 20 minutes? Then we queued at the other end for about an hour. Then the bulags disappeared for another half hour.. Then I had to drive on the wrong side of the road! What is this? Very nice at though. I will put some pictures up at some point.

We went to a shop. And look at this display. I love ice cream. And look at it all - ahhhhh. And it was BOGOF!

Anyway. Sleep time. Bye.

Sunny

Day 406
So, tomorrow is the day.. That we are off to America for two weeks. To be honest, I hate packing. The constant thinking of have you got everything and where it'll be and yeah. Bought some sun glasses today though because my others have been MIA for a while. These are from River Island, whilst they might not be the nicest in the world - they're the only ones that fit my rather large head and looked alright.

Apparently I look really grumpy.

Totally had a hair cut today as well so I have less hair than this.

Two weeks of American blogging coming soon. As long as the wifi works - I hope so.

Sunday 10 August 2014

Groot

Day 405
For those of you who have seen the film and I can only assume.. Comics? Assuming this originated from a comic being a Marvel creation.. Dancing Groot. Yes please.

Totally watched the Lego Movie with Amy and my parents today.

Cheesecake

Day 404
Look at these little lovelies. This, is an Oreo cheesecake made by any. The base is a complete Oreo, the topping is a mix of Oreo and cheese and other bits and bobs.. Baked.. Chilled.. And devoured. They were amazing.

Mock Tail

Day 403
Oh look, a picture of me. Well isn't that lovely? We were Chiquitos yesterday before the film having dinner, I fancied something different. There there is a Mexican limeade mock tail. And it was amazing. Lime and grapefruit and some syrupy stuff and.. Oo it was good. I need to learn how to make me some of those. And yes I crossed my eye on purpose.

Inbetweeners

Day 402
Getting the monies worth out of the cineworld card this week, third film today! Watched the Inbetweeners 2 which was pretty good. Same humour as before but as is with every sequel, it's not quite got the edge.

Wednesday 6 August 2014

Drax

Day 401
In before midnight!

This is Drax from Defenders of the Galaxy.. The detail on him would be awesome to draw.. Just sayin'.

Tuesday 5 August 2014

Kongregate

Day 400
Yes I know it's spelt wrong but it's the name of my favourite website to use up some empty space. Has loads of games which have achievements.. I love me and achievement.

And I really want to sleep, g'night.

Monday 4 August 2014

Galaxy

Day 399
So this is the poster for Guardians of the Galaxy which has got really good reviews.. Last I checked it was in the 9's on IMDB which is a pretty dam good score. Not my first choice for the next Marvel film but.. Must be good.

Sunday 3 August 2014

Rock

Day 398
Went and saw this today with a friend and.. I have mixed feelings.

Putting it bluntly, I wasn't expecting a massive hit, just a good hack and slash film with fight scenes and some sort of story in the background. Just.. It's Hercules. So the old ones have the mythical creatures and the legends of the gods and all that jazz. This basically discredited it all. Just made him look like a really strong dude. The Rock is of course, but the legends owe it to his dad being Zues. Which still appears to be the case but.. Isn't?

It's a good watch for some random mindless violence and some comedy. I enjoyed it. I am easily please by films on the other hand.

Film Time

Day 396 & 397
I totally fell asleep yesterday before I managed to do my blog. Oopsidoodle.

So here is the making up for it two picture job.

I have never owned a pair of flip flops before but I thought it would be a good idea to have some ready for America. Especially as.. Socks and shoes will probably make my feet melt. So I got these Where's Wally ones becaus they are pretty cool. They didn't have the other design, which was on display, which had a beach seen. You can actually see him on this shot.. He's on the other flip flop.

The next is a picture of where I am right now.. In a friends flat. Had some drinks, played some games.. Now watching a scary film. K, thanks bye.
