Norse Mythology

So, Norse Mythology is to me – very interesting. As with my previous post about Swedish Folklore, this is mainly going to be sourced from the internet but.. I am going to pick out the sections I find the most interesting. Only problem with this; is there is so much, and it is all interesting – it might be a long one. Which is fine as I have saved this for a day where I would like to share three pictures, I am sure I will probably be able to fit in more.

Norse Mythology itself originates from the northern areas of Western Europe such as Iceland and Norway and was loved by the Vikings. In my opinion, they had pretty good ideas. I make no secret of me not being religious, and a lot of the things they believed in are very unbelievable in terms of science, but it’s pretty amazing. I don’t know if this area is recognised as a religion, as when 1,000 people put it down it is nationally recognised.. Hence Jedi being a legitimate option now.. And just to clarify, I am not against religion; it’s just not for me.

I feel like this type of mythology will have come into the public eye more recently with the creation of the movie series Thor and of course the Avengers which features Thor, who is one of the Gods. Looking through this information now, I am quite surprised as to how much is actually relevant; I guess they just applied pre-existing stories to the Marvel universe. Now the question for me is where to start?..

What Makes the News?

Hello there internet. A warning - the start of this is definitely going to be a bit of a rant, at the media. Not all media, just some but.. A warning incase you don't fancy reading it. You can just pass over it. Also, here is my email for you to ask me questions and the like - matttalkslife@gmail.com. Be the first to get your post shared on my blog!

So. I am sure by now many of you reading where ever you are in the world will have heard about the incident involving the plane and co pilot - and the sad part is I think more people have heard about a member of One Direction leaving. Newspapers headlined a member of a boy band leaving over this which at first appeared to be an accident, now it has been discovered to be a mass murder it is headline news. It is a shame that the news is more interested in a situation once it is a scandal, the media are now at the culprits house hounding them - which is just as bad. At the end of the day, they have lost someone who admittedly has done something terrible but they are mourning too. I know that the news is there to attract attention whilst being informative to try and keep people on that channel to watch what is on afterwards.. But the fact that the main channels each have their own news, I don't really feel like they should compete to attract attention. They will generally all cover the same news because there is only one world of affairs to report on - the fluff stories will be what sets them apart. Whilst I think it is nice for them to have a balance because the world isn't all doom and gloom - headlines should be held for the important things. A boy band is trivial in comparison.

Social?

Hey, internet. I have some pictures for your attention! I also have an email address for you, technically my attention once you send to it..
matttalkslife@gmail.com

I am going to do this a different way round today, pictures first and then some other bits, inspired by TV. I said inspired and TV in the same sentence - oh no.

Day 629
I have clue if I ever mentioned this but Amy's phone case came to the end of it's life.. And for a while she decided to be a rebel and had no phone case. This would've been fine if she hadn't started dropping it all the time! The phone must have nine lives as it survive them all without nothing more than a tiny scratch. None the less, we felt a phone case was in order - so she ordered this fro China for 99p with free delivery!

See I really like it, like far too much. Because it is Stitch, what's not to love? Amy says he is a little creepy. I think it might be the art style, who knows if is legit or just something that looks exactly like him? I have offered to swap but my space case is a little worse for ware and snapped in multiple places, the paper in it is now sort of holding it on..

Mocking Swan

Good weekend end to you, person. Fancy sending an email? I quite fancy receiving one at this address:
matttalkslife@gmail.com

I have been doing a lot of reading over the weekend, looking at Norse mythology as I have mentioned before, I like all that stuff personally so I thought I would share some stuff like I did with the Year Walk for the Swedish Folklore. Norse is quite well known anyway, being Thor and that area of things.. Just people thing Thor from the avengers is the same as this and I don't think it is at the moment, just the idea. We'll see. I was then thinking about exploring some lesser known mythology, I know there is a wealth of knowledge out there so why not tap into it? I'm sure there are some interesting ones around Africa as a continent and also Mexico. I can't spell the thing I am thinking of at the moment - chupacarbra? Pfft. We'll find out I'm sure.

Saturday night TV, currently feel it is better than Saturday night out in town - it's warmer, easier and drunk free. I was looking forward to Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway as they had tricked Steven Molherne (90% sure that spelling is wrong) in a live stage show. It was rather funny I must admit. We also gave You're Back In The Room a try, as it was featured on Gogglebox so we wanted to see what it was about. I really enjoyed it - quite a bit. For those of you who don't know, it is basically a game show where people are asked to do simple things for money - under hypnosis. I have

American Sweetness

So, at this moment in time, I am watching The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, and this is the first Bluray that I have watched on the Xbox One and with the fancy TV. I have never personally seen any different with quality, on TV for example, Amy always watched the HD channels where available and I never really noticed.. Whereas, with this, as soon as it got to the title screen - dang you HD! It was like the first time I went to the cinema after they had upgraded the projectors.. I was surprised to notice any difference. Glad I did. Just a shame that Bluray hasn't become more of a commercial choice yet because this is what will make the prices go down! I think anyway.. I am guessing and stuff, don't mistake this babble for market based knowledge.

Gogglebox was really good today, they introduced another new family which at the moment.. Well.. Meh. I am not too bothered, they didn't get much screen time and when they did it was for intellectual sections, as they are older people who are artists in a little cottage. So I guess some of the more generic programmes wouldn't interest them - but hey, maybe they do. The thing I like a lot about the show, is that it really makes you have the complete range of emotions that the TV wants to extract from you, because you are watching it on other people as well.. It makes you empathise more. If you can see a lot of people experience the desired effect, you sort of can't help but do it anyway. Interesting social dynamics. Imagine my knowledge-fully scratching my beard whilst reading this, totes works.

Amy is strange - she likes being told what is going to happen in the film. She also thinks it is a nice train - she also has no idea I am writing this, wuhaha.

Day 625 & 626
So, I was fancying a snack. And I was rummaging through the cupboard and I thought I would delve into our American stock, as we haven't touched too much of it still. In the end, we have started two packets. One of which I was terribly unhappy to taste and am glad that I will never had the displeasure of eating again.. Which is this first picture here..

Peeps are basically these marshmallows with some sort of cream in them, peppered in sugar. These ones were strawberry flavoured and.. I popped one in my mouth.. And it just made me shudder with displeasure. I really can't describe it, sometimes you just don't like something but this I really hated, the face I pulled, I could feel it was some sort of distorted anguish. They are also shaped like birds - that is pretty cute. Although.. Where they were in the suit case.. They are all squashed in on themselves.

See now, I am pretty sure these aren't actually available for general sale in England, I assume you would be able to get them in the special shops that import American sweets and then charge an arm and a leg - of course I can't recommend them to you. Just the thought.. Oh dear.

Cheeky little Apple TV remote in the back.

Now these next lovelies, I really do enjoy these ones.

You may know what normal life savers are, they are basically fruity polos. These ones however, are gummy ones sort of like Haribo but with fruity flavours. It is really strange because, the gummy consistency is really different in comparison to anything available in England.. I can't describe it. I really can't. It is just different - but good different. They also smell amazing!

For now I am going to enjoy the rest of the film, and you are going to enjoy the rest of your night.

Wednesday

I thought I would go quite minimalist with the title today, simple and straight to the point - and also highly accurate at the time of me tapping my fingers on my phone. Also accurate once a week from now until whenever.

How've you been? I've been okay, thanks for hypothetically asking that question in your mind!

I am rather jealous of America because they get a lot of TV first and I would really quite like it the same time - if not before hand. Today they had a new episode of Catfish which is a show that Amy introduced me to. It's a show about people who meet and fall in love with the idea of the person on the other end. The show then looks into all the odd things and gets the pair to meet - which obviously has a real mix of outcomes, sometimes the person is not real. It's really interesting. We have to wait until Monday, my oh my!

I really need to catch up with The Walking Dead because they have new episodes coming out and I am still lagging behind to before the half season split! I have been unintentionally told of one death.. And also heard that there is possibly another, I really need to catch up. Falling behind sucks as everyone is talking about it but then again it gives the opportunity for a binge session!

I have recently stopped watching YouTube videos which is a pretty bit deal for me. I used to watch YouTube all the time, maybe too much. I am now in a Twitch phase where I enjoy watching the live reactions and how they play to crowd.. It is really a different experience, even completely different to watching a stream uploaded to YouTube, something you can't simulate from that live capture.. Despite the 20 second delay..

Fancy some pictures?

Day 623
Asda are pretty Gnome crazy this spring it would appear.

Ive actually had this on my phone for a while. Asda have taken no time to get their spring stock into gear, with lots of different things for your gardens - I say your as I do not have one currently.. They have these large gnomes for £25 and then smaller ones in ranges of sizes.. I have never seen someone with one in their trolly but I am assuming they are being bought, I would personally go for a zombie gnome which you can Google and have a little nerd yelp about.

Stop autocorrecting me phone! I always find my strange vocabulary choices get phased out by my phone.. Maybe it is trying to keep me to 'proper' English. Conspiracy!

Day 624
I am pretty sure I mentioned the vouchers before.. Either way, hear they are fanned out like a pro card dealer.

It's really nice as you get a good range of different vouchers, two in all for each park. One gets a friend in for only £10 which is pretty decent drop from the usual admission price. There are als vouchers for money off of fast track which I can see being useful to us if we went possibly during school holidays. People give you such dirty looks when you get to fast track.. I never understand why because anyone can do that if they want to pay the extra money.

I remember when we went to Chessington when I was younger, I think it was for my brother birthday.. And we got fast track. They are supposed to tick you off to say you've used it up, but we went around again and the guy let us through even though he recognised us and still didn't tick us off! Queues are so annoying but we all complain in an orderly fashion, because we are British!

That was something I noticed in America, unless there was a distinct queuing system, it was a free for all, just get in where you could. I did not enjoy that - I like be some queuing!

Thanks for reading as always peoples, feel free to pop me an email! The opportunity for first published email is still available.. Of course..

A Little Bit Of Catch Up

So. You may have noticed it has been a grand total of six days without a post which even for me, is a bit of a gap. As I mentioned before, there has been some things going on in my personal life which has caused me to not be available or in the mood to do this so.. I will leave it at that. As you might be able to tell, it's a sensitive subject that I don't want to share on the internet at this point in time.

I will start of with a little reminder, I have a new email address which I would invite you to send to:
matttalkslife@gmail.com
Here, I would like you to let me know of anything you want me to talk about, any questions you have, or my things about my experience as a blogger. Anything. If you do, let me know if you are happy for it to be posted on here. If not, I will still respond but if you want it published, not a problemo.

So this post right here, will be the first in six days. So it will also be the first six in one 'picture of the day' post which I know doesn't really go with the whole starting idea of the project.. But it is what it is. I am just happy to still be going with this all. I know this will seem a little vague in terms of content because it is a bit of a mix match of pictures.. Well, here we go. I don't think I will be able to remember exact days either.. What a pickle.

Day 617 & 618
So let us get the ball rolling shall we? I will start with a couple of creations by the lovely Amy.

So, above me know we have something very different - savoury muffins. So not sweet. They are cheese and bacon and apparently the batter - is a muffin mix called a batter? - was really strange a goopy which I can imagine.. The out come overall was a success though, easily. At first I was finding it hard to get my head around the idea of it because I know when I bit into it, I wouldn't get sweet, but looking at them made me think sweet. I would recommend giving some a try because cheese and bacon go surprisingly well in a cakey sort of place known as your mouth. The next little lot were sweet though..

..As you can see above here. These were some chocolate muffins and they had little chocolate chunks sneaking around in them as well which was very nice. I must admit, they smelled as good as they looked, and tasted as good. It was a packet mix which is why there are only six, and as nice as they were - they don't beat anything that Amy makes from scratch. Just saying. And not just because she is going to read this at some point - wuhaha.

Day 619
So this one here is another trip down memory lane - when I say another I mean in general.. Not to this post specifically. Although my memories of the muffins are still fond and dear to me.. This one here is from when we were in Florida at Universal Studios and I was re-enacting a scene for Despicable Me - not all that well in mind as the person who did it was a young female child..

So you may ask why I would share such an unflattering picture of myself - and I am starting to ask that of myself right now as well.. But later on, I think the picture I will save until last will make this seem very tame. Ever so tame thinking about it. I feel a bit bad because that person behind me may never know that I have inadvertently posted a picture of her on the internet - and if you do manage to come across this picture, hello! Then again, there are over 7,000,000 on this planet.. Of which about 3,000,000 have access to the internet.. And there being about 4,580,000 web pages.. I guess it is safe to say that it is pretty slim. And yes, I did need to Google stuff for this paragraph, I don't just know that type of thing off the top of my head. Well I do now. I am going to have to find an opportunity to use them statistics somewhere..

Any. This fluffy unicorn was pretty soft and fluffy but I don't think it was as fluffy as the one in the film, that would be impossibly plush. The shops were easily one of the best things about all the parks we visited whilst on our travels, of course this image we were in the section of the shop dedicated to the film. But across all the parks, the stuff was unreal. Like, I couldn't imagine some of the things they had in there but can only imagine more, and as they keep creating new films etc. there is only going to be more! It is genius - and yet scary because we will quite happily through our money at them to get things.

And the food, the food was so good. I think they should open up the American food chains over here.. I would very much appreciate it if they did this with Cracker Barrel, Steak and Shake and also Apppleby's. All of which were so good. I don't think they will because of tipping and the customer service, compared to England is completely different. In America, 10-20% tips are standard and the service is crazy like getting fresh drinks when you are only half way through.. Plus all their drinks are generally on tap so you can drink away without worrying about making half of your bill up with drinks! Still - please come to us..

Day 620
So how about a movie poster? Nice and easy.

This isn't the poster I was planning to use, I was planning to use the standard like A4 size poster.. But the British one for some reason was unavailable to view in full size to then save in a good quality - the only one I could find was French and I didn't fancy using that one.. I ended up scrolling down quite a bit to find this one which I like also, the posters for this film were pretty good despite following the same ideas as many others, an entourage of the main characters behind the title - then again I guess there really isn't too much you can do with it.

Now, Liam Neeson has been in a lot of films recently it does appear, I would say which started with Taken. Of course, that had two follow up films. He then had that one on the plane, Nonstop I think that was called.. Which I haven't seen. There was another one about him once again killing more people, I think the title was something to do with graves.. Maybe.. I could Google it right now because I totally did for them useless facts above but hey ho. And then there was this one, and I was assuming it was going to be just another shoot 'em up with Liam Neeson. It was, but so much better than Taken in my opinion. The story line was actually good, and really well put together and all the characters played their parts really well and made it convincing. It was a bit of a different twist on the other films he has been in and what I was expecting, because he was like.. A washed up old killer in this. He was having money problems and was drunk a lot.. But then when it came down to it he was still better than everyone else.

The guy on the far left of the poster was some cuckoo hired killer hired by the guy on the far right to get Liam and his soon, the last character in the picture. He was crazy and I find it weird that there could actually be people like that in the world.. Trained to the point where the kill becomes the only thing on their mind and will do whatever is required to try and get it done. None the less, the movie was action packed, great fight scenes, reverse cop chases which the cop is being pursued.. Worth a watch. Get to it!

On a random side note - surprised that they have stopped Orange Wednesday's but.. Happy at the same time because it was always so darn busy!

Day 621
So I mentioned before, just before I had my impromptu hiatus, you get a welcome pack with the Merlin passes that we have. One of the little things in this was a pin, which is actually quite nice as you can see here.

I tell you what though, it was a right pain the bum to get the camera to focus on this, because it is so small I wanted to hold it up closer to the camera so that you could actually see it without too much random background. The flash seemed to take care most of this because it blacked out the background and left my hand with the pin. So according to this I Vote Fun! Which I do, of course, fun is awesome. So we had our first one in 2013 I think? So I wonder when they started doing this.. It is a nice idea. I have got pictures of the other stuff too so I will show you them at some point. I probably will just leave this in it's little plastic bag in the box because I don't really have a place to pin it to.. I guess I could put it on the bag I use for work but it is pretty thick leathery type material and probably won't fit.. Only a little pin after all.

Day 622
Well then, number six. So I am writing this assuming that you will read this in order so.. You'll read the text and then look at the picture but.. I know this is not the case. Not even a little bit. Your eye will be far more interested in the picture than anything I have to say. You probably won't even pay attention to this or anything that follows! Oh well.. Here goes..

So some things that I should clear up first..

  • No, I don't have an actual penguin suit
  • No, I am not that short nor is that a giant man
  • No, this is not me when I was young with a constant facial hair which has lasted most of my life
  • Yes, this is my face photoshopped on
It was submitted for a Colleague of the Month nomination where I work and if you can't tell already this nomination was for me. I am pretty sure I have mentioned previously that my nickname is penguin and I have since received many a penguin themed nomination. I think I fit pretty well into this picture despite all the things above, because it was a pretty good job. Needless to say, it went down pretty well.

So there we go, a six in one post. Bet you never thought you would see the day, nor did I and hope not to see one again. When you are like me and usually forget just one picture, putting together six is a little bit harder.. But it makes for a nice long post. I hope you enjoyed it, I did as always. And of course, Blog you later!

Movie Things

Good morning, afternoon, evening to all those looking at this.

I have some movies to report back to you on, technically two and a half but I'll explain why of course. One of which was watched in the cinema and one from the comfort of our own sofa.

Let's start with the cinema trip, we went yesterday - Sunday - afternoon to see Unfinished Business mainly because of the young Dave Franco. For Amy, if he is in it, it's a go go for the cinema. So far this has not let us down as I have very much enjoyed all of the films he has been in. This film, is basically about three people who set up a new rival company to the one they quit. And about how you never give up to get what you want; is the under lying message. It has some discreet humour and some quite loud in your face humour. There are so male and female.. Bits. Wehey. I would definitely recommend it, it kept my attention and actually felt much longer than it was, it's 91 minutes so not too long or short. Enjoy if anyone takes my recommendation.

The second report, from our sofa to your internet surfing device was a one star sort of cult classic.. Which I ended up rating as five stars. Sharknado! We had a visitor and we thought we would watch a film and it turned into classic browsing through the nothingness of Netflix. We decided on this expecting to be disappointed which we really were.. Bad acting, poor effects and horrific storyline.. But you just have to enjoy it. The concept is so ridiculous and inconsistent that you spend most of the time picking out the problems and therefore enjoying it because of that. Some scenes, the water was clearly not deep enough but there were sharks everywhere. They kept cutting to clips they clearly didn't film in deep seas or of floods. One of the actors had miraculously shaved between scenes! Apparently you can stop a tornado by dropping a propane bomb into it's centre to beau realise the current? Good lord I could go on for a long time. I think the best way to describe it is a party film, to watch with a group of people to enjoy taking the mick out of. Worked for us.

We started watching the second one which had as many cliches.. But also many guest stars from big films or social media like Kelly Osborne, Perez Hilton and Miley Cyrus's dad! They tied some of them into the part we saw for no apparent reason other than for something weird to happen to a shark - like hitting a home run with one using it as the ball for your bat.

Who funded this things?

Day 616
Today's picture is bought to you but the letter 'N'.

Well. Actually it comes from Amy as she took this nice shot of Stealth on Saturday. I like the ride as it is short and sweet, it is really about the initial acceleration and not a lot else - in my opinion. If you close your eyes as you get to the top of the ride, you get this strange feeling of weightlessness.. I really don't think I would want to be on the ride when it doesn't get enough momentum and roles backwards - or go on it on Fright Night. They do it deliberately. Then they shoot you off again!

Out of all the rides at Thorpe Park, I think my favourite has to be Swarm. Not just because I enjoy the ride itself but also because of the environment and story surrounding it. It seems to be a more common thing now to have a background story relating to the ride so when you are on it, the scenery you travel through is deliberate and makes sense. Plus they have that fire thingy going off.. Which makes you really hot if you stand down wind of it, a blast of hot air comes your way. Plus, the option to go on backwards means you can experience the ride in two different ways, I prefer it backwards myself but wouldn't pay extra for it. Doesn't look like they make you anymore but when it opened I know they did - little bit cheeky.

Thanks for reading peoples, as always. Time to do some hashtags! Email me:

Four The Weekend

What can I say? I really enjoy playing on the words of the titles. For example, this post as four pictures and includes this weekend? Sometimes I even have to question my own genius.

I am actually doing this post from the Windows side of the Mac.. It feels like a really long time it has been booted into - so long so that I am surprised there was not more updates to be applied. The reason I did this, is because I wanted to have a bit of a throw back and play some Play Station 2 games - which I know sounds really random. Of course, there are emulators which is how I am playing it, it requires you to dump the bios on to the system from your own PS2 which does seem strange - but I guess it is to have a bit more a free for all with the games. You can add cheats or change the FPS - which I have found to be a bit of a problem.. I am playing Lord of the Rings - The Third Age which is a turned base strategy which got destroyed by its reviews but I very much enjoyed. I am also playing Yu-Gi-Oh Capsule Coliseum which is nothing like the card game. I actually can't describe how it is played.. It is like a real time strategy I think is the type? Like Halo Wars or.. Starcraft I think. That could be really wrong. The problem I have at the moment is the Mac can handle them so well that it pushes the FPS up to 100 which then makes everything go in fast motion.. And using the keyboard is hard.. But tweaking. I'll get there. So much fun.

So I haven't posted since Wednesday now I think? I still have stuff going on but I have sat myself at the table, charging, to have a good old typing session. It feels good sitting at a table and typing, I always feel a little bit more motivated.. No idea why. Thought I would share that with you.

Day 612
So Thursday.. Let's have a think.. I know I had the afternoon off of work. We fancied a drive over to Bluewater, we prefer going during the week during the day so there isn't as much traffic and it is nice and quiet to walk around. One of the things we did have, as a little treat was some doughnuts - and I spell it dough-nuts. We had seen an advert for a Reece's Krispy Kreme doughnut so I gave that a try. As you can see, we didn't quite remember to take the picture before taking a bite.. Oopsie.

You can see their little advert on the table as well. The one in the bottom left of the picture is the peanut butter one, it is okay. I wouldn't say it is worth dropping everything to go and get one. The usual cup forms of the Reece's make the peanut butter.. Slightly solid? If you know what I mean? So you actually get a bite into it and gives it a different taste.. With this, the filling is pumped into the center and is like normal peanut butter, quite thick and goopy. Nice all in all but not the same. Not what I was expecting either in all fairness. Amy had a chocolate one which looks nice.. The third which we shared was a caramel one which I really enjoyed. Maybe a little too much?

I don't physically remember the last time I actually bought something from Bluewater.. I like going there none the less but.. I just realized. Other than food goods, I am never spending my money there. Windows is also running American spellings and I can't be bothered to change it so.. Yeah. There may be some random differences dotted throughout - who doesn't like variety?

We also had a Zizzi's that day. The combo of the Tastecard and the voucher we received from them made it really awesome. It was really good service, the food was fast and all in all - only cost £2.40! I felt like a right ol' super scrimper. I tried something new for my main, I tried one of their calzones because it sounded really good. It had meatballs, spiced chicken, jalapenos, bolognese and some other stuff..  It came with a tomato dip which is used to dunk the crust in as that was a little thicker than the rest of it and didn't have the filling to add flavour of course.

Day 613
I also got Amy a little present as she got me one.. Something which I am not going to reveal as of yet.. Saving that one for a later occasion.. It is quite obvious what it is - I think - due to the unnecessary level of excitement I got from it.

Meet Nellie! A helium filled purple elephant that floats around just the right amount off of the floor to make it look like it is walking. It is pretty clever really, just the right amount of helium and weight from the feet to make this happen. We saw another person with a red chicken following them around. This is literally not an understatement - Amy has wanted one for a couple of years. The first time we saw them was back when they had a winter thing on so it must have been around Christmas.. And they had the stall in that area, the Glow section. Since then it has obviously done well as it is still going now and we always see at least one person with one when we go. Now she quite happily floats around in here.. And stuff. They even refill it when it goes down for £1 which is pretty good if you ask me.

Day 614
That was the main bulk of the Thursday. I was then at work Friday of course and we have this little game we play at work which spans about a month and I won it this time. The winner gets a little toy type thing and this is what I got!

I remember doing these when I was younger, they never ever worked as well as this one. You make up the little tree bit in the middle and then pour this clear liquid into the base.. 12 hours or so later and you have a pink fluffy tree. I actually have no idea what it is but.. We poked it a little and you couldn't feel a thing, it was pretty weird. It has now unfortunately been passed to the bin because.. Well it started going white and spreading more and we weren't too sure if it was supposed to do that and the box didn't have any indication as to how long it would actually last so.. Say the least it was making us a little bit uncomfortable.

You can actually see Nellie's feet sitting on the sofa in the background.. She doesn't sit there all the time. Sometimes on the table where I am not.. Sometimes on the floor.. She likes to explore.

Day 615
So, I am pretty sure I have mentioned the Premium Merlin Passes before, so the unlimited access to theme parks like Thorpe Park, Alton Towers and a lot of the attractions in London. They do a pass holder day - something else I am sure I have mentioned before - and we went to one on Saturday. It is always so awesome because the queues are nearly non existent and you can get on all the rides that are open.. Just a good day all around in general. They have finished the roadworks that were in our path before so it was a nice route there not getting stopped too much - there was still a lot of traffic.. It is also the first time we have been when Angry Birds Land was there and.. Well it was just a paint job on part of the park with the added 4D, stools and dodgems.

Here is me sitting with one of the models, he is actually sitting in a slingshot ready to be fired. Luckily he didn't shoot off anywhere otherwise I would've got a headache.. We went on Swarm first and as soon as we got to the front of the queue, the ride broke down which was wonderful. It was only down for about 10 minutes so it is not so bad because we still got to go on out without waiting a long time compared to the people queuing.

The only problem is - you get accustomed to these queue times. Go any other time, and it feels like an age!

I have more to talk about, but I shall save that for tomorrow so it is beefed out a little and I get explain it with some pictures. Well, just the one - the loot box is one of the times I will spoil you. Thanks for reading and email me:

Another Stitch

Hi there, I will start with a little explanation because I have no shared anything for a couple of days.. Got some private stuff going on at the moment so of course I then don't have time to post on here but not to worry, pictures can always be provided in a back log. Makes it a little bit longer eh?

I won't be doing a very long one today just where I have completely forgotten to take any pictures but I have managed to find a couple. So why not? Make it a three piecer for the middle of week.

Day 609
I will start right here me do thinks, because we were on our way past a Sainsbury's so we popped in. I have never played Disney Infinity but I have been told it is quite interesting in terms of how the game works and is made.. And really naughty because they make you continue spending £10 a pop on new characters for extra content.. It is like extravagant downloadable content really. This here - would be the only one I would consider buying of course.

Another Stitch! I would be happy buying him because he is him so yeah. I really want to get a tie with him on but the only one I can find.. Appears to be a custom one so it is not available to buy. The only other thing I can think is having one made, you can use sites like Zazzle to make ties and then if people buy them.. You can get a cut as you made the design.. So that might be an idea. For all the other crazy male office based Stitch fan boys.. That sounds like a horrendously niche market.. But yeah if you haven't heard of Zazzle there you go. They do most clothes so yeah.

Day 610
I have showed you some of our crusades with Happy Meals recently and we managed another two new ones from the Sean the Sheep collection. We must have all of them soon.. Not that we actually want them but if you are getting a toy you may as well get different ones.. Where's the fun in not?

These two are really random.. The scooter is supposed to be use for carrots and dip - it does actually wheel around and then falls over quite a lot.. Without any obvious reason for it. The other is a mixer.. Well I say that loosely because it is pretty flimsy so I don't see it being able to mix a lot. I am just saying.

Random fact - I actually upload all my pictures to Facebook to a private album not viewable by anyone. That way I can add them on here much easier! You so wanted to know that.

Day 611
My last picture is from Sky News as Canadian's have been 'Spocking' bank notes in homage to Leonard Nimoy.

Whilst I agree it is not the best idea.. I am enjoying the bank notes a lot. I guess they might be worth extra one day when that money isn't printed anymore and we trade using galactic units. Pah.

Thanks, as always, blog you later.

Tsum Doughnuts for Rayman

So now, I have been pretty clever here and managed to incorporate all the pictures information in the title. Right now it will probably make absolutely no sense - don't worry about that of course because the following will fill in all the gaps. Like grout. Maybe not the best metaphor but.. It works for me.

See now, I always find it weird when I do this type of post because I am covering the last three days of my life and.. You really wouldn't have thought that would be hard to remember. I feel like my brain constantly over writes the short term unless it makes into the long term. I am finding it hard to remember Friday - I know I wore a Hawaiian shirt that day though. For sure. It was the one that I bought from America and look so dashing in.. It doesn't really suit the British weather is the only thing, it is this weird sort of nylon-y texture.. Yeah.

Day 606
One thing I did do - was buy 'tsum' of these little fellows. I was planning on getting some flowers as a cheeky surprise for Amy but.. We only have one vase that is pretty small and flowers aren't really our thing. One thing I do know however, is that Disney + plushes = us.

These are a part of a new range of plush called Tsum Tsums and they stack on top of each other and come in a wide range of sizes and of course, character. Amy's favourite is Pluto and mine - now ours - is Stitch. I was walking past Clinton's and couldn't resist these two. They are only £3 each, the smallest size. They also for whatever reason decided to make it so the tummy is a phone screen cleaner.. Like they are targeting them at adults - I forget these days even children have smart phones. Here's a link to the page on their website, the video on the page is pretty cute as well and under a minute long, so win win.

I don't really understand how they came about to this idea because, stacking toys is pretty clever but so very random. It makes them collectable and the range of sizes won't stop you from buying more than one of the same character. At the moment, they are in sort of a phased release so not all characters are available in the UK but.. I am happy. The Stitch has made a new addition to our family, we decided to refer to him as Tsum Stitch as despite being the smallest - one is already called mini Stitch. Name is claimed.

There you go Disney - free advertising.

Of course, as a Friday comes so does Gogglebox which was as good as always. Apart from the new family - I don't know if I can get on board with them.. The Dad sits on the laptop, the Mum is dressing up and holding ransom a cat and the kids.. Just not my cuppa tea. I guess it is always hard to introduce a new family into this kind of reality TV because it is the new - the unknown. They need to hit it off with the audience on their first introduction and it didn't work for me. Like the three lads who share a place, not as good as the rest but that is just personal preference.

Day 607
So along came Saturday, not like a spider. I hate spiders. I have only seen two in the flat to date and I am more than happy about that. Can't stand the little blighters.. I don't want to have to kill them but their creepiness gets to me. It's their own faults really when you think about it. Amy had post!

Here is a picture of here wearing the post, well the contents of the post, in the least practical place possible. Where else is better to where a hat than in bed at night time? Well, perfect time for me to take a picture but none the less - you see where I was going with that I hope.

Basically, Krispy Kreme had a competition going on Instagram. Share the picture for a chance to win a limited edition hat and Amy did and she won.. Clearly. From what I assume it is because they now have 1000 shops - that or they just had a really random out of this world design artist who thought that would be great on a hat. I was unaware such thing was running nor was it mentioned to me until a hat was pulled out of a padded envelope. This is when we were on our way to Morrison's so Amy could get some baking supplies to make sugar cookies. Yay!

Saturday, a couple of friends came around. One was on the hunt for some new football boots, and I of course being the all knowing master of football had plenty of ideas. Sarcasm, of course. Despite our attempts, the search was not successful, mainly due to shops not stocking his size of shoe. We proceeded back to the flat and played a nice game of Monopoly in which I came dead last.. I really didn't have a good run of the dice so I had no chance really. I managed to get all the greens and a house on each but.. My fund were so low after that my chances were not very good. Even in the slightest. Every spot other than them for me was a farewell. We also watched Guardians of the Galaxy at the same time - it is really strange to watch Chris Pratt in Parks and Rec compared to this because he slimmed down and beefed up a lot to get this part. He does fit the role of Starlord so well though.

Day 608
This last picture, was not by me. Unless I had the best accuracy with my phone and unbelievable stability - it is a screen shot of a game,

It is a shot from Rayman Legends which is currently the game with Gold on Xbox One and I was really surprised in all honesty. This game was £23.99 down to nothing! I wonder how much they must have paid out to Ubisoft to get a deal like this.. I am so happy it was though because I downloaded it today and it is actually so much fun. It is a real through back to childhood gaming with the basic combat and platforming with the secrets mixed in.. I am enjoying it very much and I only played it for an hour or so today.

They've really made use of the nextgen capabilities and is really beautiful in terms of graphics and animation. You can see that from the shot above. It has so much to do, it is renowned for its collectables. With the online available today, there are online leaderboards and a whole new challenge section which compares your times against the rest of the world to give your rewards. Plus, you can never quite beat that feeling you get when a game does make you think of your childhood. This was one of the first games I played back on the PS1 before I became an Xbox guy.

One last thing before I go - dang it Harvester! Plans had been made for an all you can eat breakfast at the Harvester with some friends. They got there first.. And it was closed due to gas problems. It wasn't the end of the world because we just went to Frankie and Benny's instead - this was the second time I have ever been there for breakfast.. But it was good. Much better service but I am not sure if that is because it was so quiet being a Sunday morning n'all.. I had three pancakes with bacon and maple flavour syrup. There were very specific on the menu to point out it wasn't maple syrup.. Just flavoured. Which seems odd. I assume it was better for you than the real stuff. The other thing that was weird is they over a Bloody Mary I think it was.. Which has Vodka in it on the breakfast menu.  What? Why?

Thanks as always for reading. Beddy byes me thinks.
