G'bye July

That title totally rhymed.

It's kind of strange that half of the year has already gone.. I know that was technically the end of June but a whole half year has flown by!

Anyway, today will be a shorter one because I started work at 3 so yeah.

And I spent a lot of the rest of the day asleep.. I know it's kind of bad but sometimes sleep is just the thing to do. I didn't wake up terribly late, I was out and about by 10. Then I sort of napped with Amy until half 1..

Then we had lunch. We had a bruschetta to continue our healthy spree. Red onion, tomatoes with some garlic salt and olive oil. Crusty toasted ciabatta bread. Sweet chilli sauce. Oh it's so good. I don't even care.

By the way, check out element animation on YouTube. They are awesome. Just awesome.

Then I had work.. Right now I'm going to watch Shaun of the Dead because The Worlds End has given me cravings. They need to be sated. This'll work.

Thanks for reading, shall watch my film. Blog you later.

Day 31
I went to sign in on my Xbox and my little avatar was asleep with a teddy bear. Never knew it did that. Gamerscore!

Healthiness

My day started with work at 7 in the morning until midday. Fast forward..

And it's midday. I got home with Amy and the house was empty because I forgot everyone would be out. Had a chat with my nan on the phone. Then we made Mexican food for lunch, I can't spell it properly but it was rather nice. Chicken with seasoning, salsa, grated cheese in a fried tortilla wrap, folded over. Very tasty. Never look anything like the box though..

We then watched some TV - well a lot all the way up until about 5. We watched some Top Gear and I'm forever amazed by the ridiculous budget they get. Also watched some Man Vs. Food which has some crazy meals on it. Huge. Nothing compared to epic meal time on YouTube though, the stuff they make would be too much for the heart attack cafe. We also watched Storage Raiders which is awesome and you should try watch it sometime. It's about storage units that get auctioned off because the owners couldn't afford them anymore. Some really random stuff turns up in them - like whale poo.

We had a very lovely tea, I liked it a lot more than Amy did and that'll be my picture for today - down below.

We watched 90210 from yesterday and you can tell its getting close to the end of the series because everything is kicking off and getting dramatic. Ahhh the drama.

Then an evening if general chillaxation was in order. To tired to do anything - apart from get some ice cream. There's always energy for ice cream. I remember my friend saying eating ice cream is negative calories because the amount of energy your body uses to warm the ice cream up offsets the calories. I wish that was true because I love the stuff!

Thanks for reading. Blog you later.

Day 30
So this here is - chicken, bacon, spring onion, red onion, green pepper, rocket, baby leaf salad, cheddar and onion croutons with a tomato and chilli dressing. And a tomato roll. Loved it. An explosion on the tongue.

The World's End

It's not really. I'm just quoting the title of the film that I saw today. It was so friggin' good!

To start from the beginning, I had Amy round last night because as there is no more school we can rebels like that. Yeah. Woke up, had a shower.. The usual bits and bobs of your morning. We for some reason had the craving to go and look at some Lego so we hopped in to the bubble car and headed to Bluewater.

It's nice going during the week as people are still at work so parking is generally nice and easy, close to the shops and then it's not too busy. We weren't there for very long because we knew what we wanted to go and look at and once we were done browsing it had gotten a bit busty - plus when we had finished browsing we were right next to the exit for the car. We then fancied being a bit adventurous and used some new roads to get into Maidstone to go to Hobby Craft and Argos with the free parking. Free parking is the bomb. We then went home a different way to usual so we could go to Aylseford and then to Tesco! Pretty adventurous from someone who doesn't like driving all that much if I do say so myself. Didn't get lost either.

Then we did some shopping and spent some money so.. Yeah that happened. We got a lot of salad. Because we can. Greens.

By the time we were back it was about half four and we had made plans to go and see a film with Mr Tate - The World's End as you can presume already. We thought we would be seeing the 8:10 showing as it was so close to 5, turns out we went to the 5:20 showing even though we didn't leave until 5:10. We still made it with about 5 minutes of trailers to sit through so it was better timing than getting there early and then sitting through all the trailers.. The film is amazing. As it is still in the cinema I won't say anything about because people will probably be going to see this. If by chance they came across this post before hand and I ruined it for them - I would feel bad. If I ever found out. This way there can be no problems. GO SEE IT!

We then went to the Dockside Outlet where we had a Nando's for tea. We were famished as we hadn't had a proper lunch and then sat through a film before eating.. As good as always and the food was at the table again. I could used to that then complain at other restaurants. Only problem is if what if they refused my card by the time the food was at my table, being devoured. Awk's.

That was my day. Pretty good if you ask me. I enjoyed it so you should enjoy reading it? I don't think it really works that way to be fair but I can assume. Thanks for reading.

Day 29
All I want to do now is watch both of these because I forgot how much I like Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. They are two of the only actors whose names I know and recommend. I also follow then on Twitter and I barely use Twitter.

Sunday 28 July 2013

Thorpe Park

I am on the netbook at the moment and I can't remember what font I usually use so this may look all whacky..

I thought I would do some typing today as I know a lot of my recent posts have basically just pictures and that is because I have actually been quite busy and then sleeping loads. In this post I would like to talk about our trip to Thorpe Park because it was a really good experience and I hadn't been on a lot of the rides until this visit so.. A lot of first impressions!

There were 11 of us in total so it was that awkward number where you needed 3 cars. We thought a mini bus would have been epic but you need to be 21 to drive one of them.. And then someone would have had to actually drive it so. I drove and it wasn't too bad as everyone had been saying that we'll get stuck in traffic. We did a little bit but we still made it in time that the park literally opened as we all got through the gate. Well first we had to pick up our annual passes, me and Amy both got one through my union which gave us a nice discount. They took our pictures with a little webcam to put on the passes which was strange but.. It makes sense.

The first ride we went on was Saw and I really wasn't looking forward to it because I know there is that like reverse drop bit and I knew it would make my tummy lurch. I was right, and all the drops that you can't see in the dark bit. LURCH. I found there was always that horrible feeling when you are queuing to go on a ride you've never been on before because you have no idea what to expect. The only thing I found a little strange about the Saw ride is that the whole Saw franchise is an 18 and over thing so.. I guess they can't apply the age thing to rides. Just height.

The rest of this probably won't be in order because I can't remember the exact order or which rides we went on but obviously the best ones will stick in my head.

And we went on the banana boat because we are awesome.

I remember the last ride we went on, that was Stealth - I put the picture of the keyring I got from it up on here the other day. We ran to the queue for Stealth so that we could get on before the ride shut. I remember being next in line and looking at how quick the ride accelerates from stand still and thinking 'why am I doing this?' The first bit of speed really caught me off guard and knocked all the air out of me and I got off a little light headed. The 200 foot drop bit wasn't so bad I found because I could see where I was going. I couldn't by the picture very well because I couldn't think straight having no oxygen in me.

We all went on Swarm together and I must say I was very impressed with the set of the ride but I didn't really understand the whole point of it having a storyline because its just a ride at the end of the day.. My friend unfortunately lost his iPod on the ride. We went back to look for it later and ended up finding someone else's iPhone and we were surprised that they hadn't said that they'd lost it. Oh well.

I really like Colossus, I remember going on that one before with the corkscrew bit. The bit where everyone seemed to simultaneously bang their heads. Unfortunately my friend had a metal hair band in and that hurt a bit..

I love Nemesis Inferno or any ride in general where your legs are dangling. I remember really liking Vampire where ever that one is. Not really sure why but they don't make me feel funny or anything.

All the static rides make me feel funny like the giant swing which I think is called Rush, falling towards the ground was a very horrible feeling.. Vortex makes me feel awful but I like to go on it to watch everyone else's faces which they are swinging. I don't even want to know what mine looks like because its probably the same or a lot worse. I'd never been on Samurai because that one seems to have a tendency to breakdown. It was broken the last two times I went. I like the way the seat swings on that one, makes it different every time it would appear. Plus you never go upside down.

I refuse to ever go on the Detonator again. I've been on it once and I really really really hate it. It's god awful.

The big splashing one which gets everyone wet was broken a lot so some of us didn't really bother with it. The Rumba Rapids were pretty cool. I didn't know it was there but it was fun because half of us got on one boat and the rest were on the one behind us. Somehow they managed to overtake us but.. Meh. We all ended up in the same place.

Thorpe Park is friggin' awesome. We're going to go again soon as we can go as much as we want for a whole year now! Plus we got the £16 drinks capsule which gives unlimited refills for the year too. Freeness.

I'll leave it there as the there isn't enough time for other bits I want to talk about. Thanks for reading. Blog you later.

Day 28
Here is a picture of a swan and some ducks. Eating bread. Yup.

Saturday 27 July 2013

Ikea?

Day 27
So we went to Lakeside and we had a look in Ikea because it was freaking huge and wondered what it would be like. There's a lot of nice stuff in there but we are probably he only people to come out of there only buying two ice cube trays at 95p each..

Friday 26 July 2013

Yup.. A picture

Tired. You get it. I should be back to normal after this weekend so.. Some substantial posts!

Day 26
The little key ring I got from Thorpe Park from Stealth. Beautiful.

Thursday 25 July 2013

I'm a fan

I know it's another short one but Thorpe Park took more out of me than I thought and my shoulder hurts.. And it's still really hot and humid and uncomfortable. So I'm laying in front of a fan. Hence the 'I'm a fan.' There will be longer posts coming soon just at the moment I'm pretty wiped!

Day 25
The fan I'm a fan of.

Wednesday 24 July 2013

Another picture

It's just as a picture as I've only just got back and I want to talk about Thorpe Park properly!

Day 24
Look at that. That was from the service station on the way back and it was rather lovely. Chicken and cheese and lots of loveliness!

Tuesday 23 July 2013

Picture

Just a quick pick as I am up in the morning.. Off to Thorpe Park! Did I forget to mention?

Day 23
It's Amy's keys. I quite like the big 'a' on it. It's purple, I prefer the side without all the diamonds because that'll make me seem less feminine.. And also on a random side note, I must say that doing this daily picture has helped me keep track of the date!

Monday 22 July 2013

Monday!

Just incase you didn't know what day of the week it was - it's Monday. It was a good day, as far as Mondays go. Amy's school has broken up but she has some inset days so for now still up and ready to go early in the morning! Had a cheese roll with Philly in it for breakfast. What of it?

After I dropped Amy off, I thought I would get back on Borderlands 2 because I'm really enjoying the downloadable content that I just got for it. I basically finished Captain Scarlets bit but I can't beat the aptly named Hyperius The Invincible.. Rargh.

I seem to have sudden mood swings during the day as when I am playing games it is safe to say that is quite unproductive when I know I have things I need to do.. About 1 my mood jumped to being super practical and I had a shower, made my bed with new bed sheets, made a phone call and had lunch. Just because. It felt pretty satisfying.

Picked Amy up and we chilled for a while and then popped to the shop for some bits for tea. Mainly mushrooms because we like them in our carbonara. We also had a garlic bread the size of a small pizza to go with it which wasn't all that garlicky to be honest.. But for £1, don't complain!

We then further chilled. Some videos, some Borderlands. Then the craving for ice cream hit me so we went back to the shops. This time all of the fridges were empty as they had broken down due to the heat. The freezers were fine so if didn't bother me too much!

Thanks for reading. Ice cream is the best. Blog you later.

Day 22
When I was dropping Amy off I thought 'I haven't taken a picture today.' So here's a street lamp. True story.

Sunday 21 July 2013

Weekend shananigans

So I think I will talk about the films I watched on Friday tomorrow on an extra post during the day so I don't have to rush and miss stuff. They were pretty good so.. Lets start with Saturday.

So Saturday, where I work was having a charity day so everyone was in fancy dress. There were pink lady's, a Blues Brother and Where's Wally. One of my supervisors also said if we raised £100 that he would go bald and.. Well I watched his hair fall off. They were using this Babyliss thing for men and it wasn't really working so the Barber at the top of the hill lent us a shaver as it was charity. Then they wet shaved his entire head.. It was very smooth but felt very weird. Overall the shop made about £300 for Carers Trust so yay.

After that - you'll never guess where we went. Bluewater again! Three weeks in a row! I think we will probably leave it next week as it was getting a lot busier due to the weather cooling off or something.. I bought the Borderlands 2 season pass because they announced more DLC on a live stream Saturday so now I wanted to get my hands on it. Amy got some Croc Sandals as she wanted some nice sandals. I must say - I am usually not a fan of Crocs but they were pretty nice. And they do feel very comfy.

We had a Nando's for tea as we were there and really enjoyed it. We both had a chicken burger with chips and rice and the red pepper dip. I went up and ordered and paid.. And the starter was at the table before I sat down. Very efficient!

After that we went home for a little bit.. Then Amy was baby sitting so I have her a lift over there. I then thought I would try all the new stuff on Borderlands but I spent 3 hours downloading all of the stuff for it so.. I only managed to play a little bit of it. It's all really good though so I'm happy.

Today we were rather lazy in the morning, not really moving until gone 11. Beds shouldn't be so comfortable, they promote procrastination! Maybe an uncomfortable bed would encourage you to get up and do things.. Interesting idea. We then popped to the shops to get some lunch. We had some rather nice bee quarter pounders. They were so good. When a burger is good, it's really good I find. They were really good. I want another one. It would probably taste even better on the BBQ but that's just fantasising.

Spent the afternoon playing some Borderlands 2, watching some YouTube videos including the best vines of 2013 and Mock The Weeks 'scenes we'd like to see.' A very nice chillaxed weekend I must say. Thankfully it has cooked off too!

That's all for this one as I went to work at 5 so.. Yeah. Shall do the movie reviews tomorrow or Tuesday depending on when my fingers want to do some typing. Blog you later.

Day 21
I also found that gmail does this too. Cute little thing eh?

Day 20.. A tad late

Sorry it's technically the 21st but connection issues have hindered my uploads. Here it is none the less.

Day 20
I was checking through my gmail when all of a sudden I apparently had no emails and this is the little symbol that comes up. I had no clue it did anything at all so this was pretty cool at the time.

Friday 19 July 2013

Friday's snippet

As you know I keep it short on Fridays.. Plus I am tired from six days of work in a row so. I watched another three films today so I must remember to try and something about them somewhere or I will forget. I watched Up!, The Adjustment Bureau and When The Lights Go Out. I know they're across the spectrum of genres and seem like weird choices now looking back.. Oh well.

Day 19
I know it may not look like it but this is a bag of sqashies that has morphed together into one giant lump of gooeyness. Amy out them in the glove box of my car and we forgot about them and with this heat thy sort of melted into one blob. I found them as I remember they were there and wanted to eat them. Ended up just being one..

Happy Birthday to my brother also, as today is his birthday.

Thursday 18 July 2013

Have a picture

Sorry, long shift in the heat again has tired me out and I need sleep! The air con was still busted which didn't help.. None the less, have a picture.

Day 18
This I'd currently the best invention known to mankind as a temperature regulator for the hot person. I don't know what I would do without it, most likely spontaneously combust and that's no fun at all.. I'm a fan if fans.

Wednesday 17 July 2013

Movies

Something a little different today as after I dropped Amy off at school I decided I would watch a film. I thought it would give me something good to talk about on here. I ended up watching 3. LoveFilm is addicting.

So which three did I watch? First I watched Source Code, then Unknown and finally Black Swan.

This post is going to be full of SPOILERS so please skip bits if you don't want to!

Source Code
I remember I wanted to see this when it first came out and never got around to it. Jake Gyllenhaal was the main character who was being sent into the body of a dead mans last eight minutes on a train which was blown up. His mission was to find the bomber and identify him so he could be stopped. Through the course of the film he begins to grow to attached to the woman on the train with him who is actually dead in real life. At the end of the film you discover that Jake's character is also dead, being kept alive on life support after a helicopter crash. He also goes back into the machine and saves everyone on the train before having his life support pulled and created a different reality for himself to live in - a happy ending.

I would recommend this film, all the acting was tremendous, the story was really good and engaging. I thought there would be more action but all of the special effects were really good. I liked that it had a happy ending because throughout the film you begin to feel for Jake's character because he is being forced to die over and over again without really knowing anything. Definitely worth a watch!

Unknown
So in this film, Liam Neeson is a scientist going to a conference. He is in an accident and bumps his head, and then his wife doesn't know him and someone has taken his place. When he tried to prove who he is, assassins try to kill him. With the help of the taxi driver who saved his life, he discovers what was really going on. That he was an assassin and the life he now believes was his cover on a mission. Then he apparently remembers everything but grows a sense of remorse an saves the day.

It wasn't what I was expecting from a Liam Neeson film. It was good and well done but the whole plot twist at the end was sprung on you very abruptly and was only included in the last part of the film which made it all seem quite convenient. That's just me being critical, it was a good film. I would say watch it. Just felt like the end was rushed a bit.

Black Swan
The story of how an aspiring ballerina lands the lead role in Swan Lake and how she begins to loose her mind under the stress of the role. She starts hallucinating and having a dark alter ego like the Swan Lake story. She begins to loose her connection with her mum while developing a relationship with her boss. In the end she follows the story to the dot by killing herself.

I'd heard lots of ranting and raving about this film and bought it on DVD ages ago. I never bothered to watch it until today. It was amazing. It's not the type of film for everyone because I'd say its more of a psychological thriller. The effect on how she thought she started to become a swan with the feathers sprouting and her legs breaking backwards were crazy. The acting was immaculate and for some reason there seemed to be a lot of.. Explicit scenes which I was really confused by. Some didn't really make sense but it followed the story so.. Make your own judgements. I would definitely recommend watching this film but for those of you who don't like realistic scenes of wounds or self harm may want to look away at some points..

Then I went to work. Ha!

That's all for today, hope you enjoyed. I went film crazy it would appear.. Blog you later.

Day 17
I have mentioned before that I have an Xbox with a custom skin on it that was limited edition at the release of Gears of War 3. I've never actually shown it so I though it would make a good picture for today. It also makes noises when you push the buttons.

Tuesday 16 July 2013

The 16th

See I am still very uncomfortable in all this heat, and the humidity alongside that just makes it infinitely worse. I'm honestly just hoping that an awesome thunderstorm will be following as it should be. Yeah. Bang!

Luckily the shop I work in is lined in fridges around the edge and I was handling the frozen stuff today. Kept me nice and cool, but that is all about work.

It's going to be really short and jumpy today because I am really quite tired. The heat seems to make me quite fatigued so.. I want to pass out like right now. Don't want to just give you a picture though so disjointed ramblings will suffice.

We had chicken hunters with cheese with waffles for tea. I must say, for something so simple as to just stick it in the oven, it was really tasty. I love chicken anyway so the cheese and bacon and sauce just makes it so much better. And who doesn't like waffles? And some rocky road cheesecake for pudding.

We watched Skins today, 'Pure' - the one about Cassie. No where near as good as the Effy double but I guess it'll fill the time until Cook's episodes which I have the feeling will be the best as they have been saved until last. Today was quite a strange mix of drugs and London and stalking chefs. Literally. If you watch it that'll all make sense but otherwise.. Yeah it is that weird.

That's all for today.. I'm going to pass out now. Yay. Blog you later.

Day 16
In Tonbridge Wells there is a little sweatshop which sells American drink cans. I am always quite interested in picking some up to give them a try as we don't get nearly as many flavours. Here is a Fanta grape and diet Pepsi lime. Not that good to be honest but the cans look awesome.

Monday 15 July 2013

Hot and bothered

I'm going to keep this one short as I am literally hot and bothered.. My abnormally high natural body temperature mixed with working in a shop with no air conditioning all day has taken its toll I will not lie. All I want now is a nice cold shower and to sleep.

So we had a bacon muffin for breakfast again today. Once again really good. We made the. Better this time by remembering to toast the muffins unlike last time but.. That's not the point. I then popped Amy over to school and went on a coop hunt!

I know we found it on Saturday but we got lost and the. Found our way with help from an iPhone so.. Was still a tad scary. I had the general idea though and got there and worked..

And now it's 5. I go to get in my car. It's boiling. The steering wheel is painful to hold. The little metal Citreon badge in the centre is literally on fire. Windows down and driving helped to cool me and the car before something spontaneously combusted.

Spaghetti bolognese as its a Monday, mighty fine stuff with the smooth sauce. We chucked in some mushrooms this time though. A little extra flavour goes a long way.. Plus I guess that course towards the five a day we all totally get.

Then it was pretty much an evening of complaining about how humid and hot it was and fighting over being in front of the fan. I'm working tomorrow too but luckily the shop has fridges all around the sides which should keep the place nice and cold for us all. Yay?

I also saw an old disabled woman kick a car as it was in the disabled bay. Fair enough - it shouldn't have been there but it makes me question you for kicking a car. Just be angry with it.

Ice cream. Not to eat - just to generally rub the tub all over your body to cool you down. Make sure you ask if you can do it to another person first or you'll scare them out of their senses!

That's all for today.. Just too hot to think straight. No air con and manual labour for a day makes the mind melt a little bit. Thanks for reading. Blog you later.

Day 15
I got this puzzle for Christmas because my favourite animal is the meerkat so it seemed appropriate. It's not a actually I possible, I've finished it. Misleading marketing if you ask me.

Sunday 14 July 2013

The heat..

Hello people. An actual blog this time, not just a picture but I like to try and keep it to 5 'proper' posts a week so I usually don't do it Friday and Saturday.. For those of you who don't know that already..

The first thing we did on Saturday was drive to a coop in Longfield as I've been asked to do a couple of shifts up there in the coming week. Got a little bit lost to be honest but.. I'm sure I'll manage to get there next time.

Then we went to Bluewater, two weeks in a row we have been on Saturday and got a space right down the front. I guess it does help that we go all the way round the car park that has the shop mobility section.. No one seems to like to drive that far round so there's a lot of decent spaces. I actually bought some clothes, optionally. I don't know if I have said it already on here but I really am no good at clothing myself, I just survive off of birthday and Christmas presents for a year of clothes. I'm not fussed with fashion so if a shirt I got last year still doesn't have a hole in it - it's fine to wear. I have been wanting to get some clothes from Uni Qlo for a while as it's one of the only shops I've been in that I like the clothes. I got a pair of shorts and two shirts. Under £20 as well as they were all on offer. Amy got some summery clothes too but girls clothes is a stretch too far for me.. I even started to look for some new shoes but I thought I might leave that for next pay day.. Take it slowly Matt.

We had no idea what to have for lunch because it was about the lunch rush when we were all done in the shops. We were going to head back to the subway we had found last weekend but instead decided to go to the little cafe in Morrison's. Must say, Im quite surprised as it was very cheap and very nice. I had an American style chicken burger with these huge chips that were really tasty. Amy went for a jacket potato with cheese and bacon. It literally just had a rasher of cooked bacon laid across the top of it. It was quite funny.. To me anyway.

After that we just went a laid around in my room.. It was so hot we really didn't know what to do with ourselves. We were just biding our time until about half five because her Granddad was going to Cineworld Rochester to watch a live stream of Andre Riu - probably just butchered the spelling of his name but.. Someone will know who I mean. They were following us up there because they've never been that way before. We only got separated once so it worked out pretty well. After that we headed to the Dockside Centre in Chatham for some tea. Nandos! As you'll know if you saw my picture on Saturday.

Haven't been to Nandos in ages but I must say the one in Chatham is really nice. It generally a load of families going out for a meal where as in Maidstone it seems to be a load of 'lads' making noise trying to eat the hottest food going.. I had a pitta with chicken. Amy had a burger which had a huge lettuce leaf in it. That quite amused me as well I must say.

Yesterday night we ended up doing an emergency run to the coop to get some ice cream because it was so hot. Lemon meringue. Good times.

Today we went to Maidstone - second Sunday in a row. Its nice and quiet on a Sunday and you can get great parking spaces and its just a nice place to be. I got some deodorant. Couldn't find any shoes even though I told myself to leave it for this month! Amy found some more bits that she liked so it worked out to be a success. We also had a happy meal because we are still hunting for some minions while they are in the happy meals. We both got the same purple one that we got the other day so they shall be going on eBay. Its strange that people will buy them for more than the value of a happy meal. It's like infinite money! I remember when they first came out, people were bidding up to £20 for some of them.

Then we basically just lazed in the heat for the rest of the day.. Its just too hot to do anything! Well.. I then went to work but.. Yeah.

Just a warning, my blog posts for the next week might be a bit skimpy because I am working every day until Saturday from today. A mix of the shop I am usually in and the one in Longfield for a couple of days so.. I don't talk about that so I shall most likely be talking about stuff that interests me when I get time to do so. Who knows, some of you may like that more than this. Each to their own.

Thats all for this one, thanks for reading. I appreciate every view, I'm almost at 4,000 so lets get there soon! Blog you later.

Day 14
So when I was getting ready to go to work I went to get my shoes from the cupboard and bang! Floating shoe.. Casual..

Day 12

Day 12
It's wearing a tennis shirt! How awesome is that!? I really want one just so I can say I own a tennis shirt that fits a champagne bottle but I am leaning towards it not being worth £37.. Merh. Apparently Lanson is really good though so if anyone wants to get it and give me the shirt then.. I'm open to that idea.

Thursday 11 July 2013

Work makes for a short post..

I feel a bit guilty on days like this as I have been at work from 9am until 4pm and as I don't like to talk about it on here.. It sort of cuts out a lot of day to talk about. I'm doing 2pm until 10pm tomorrow as well so.. I guess that'll be cut a bit short as well. Well, I will most likely only pop a picture up tomorrow as I'm quite tired after work on Fridays.

I always find it odd putting petrol in my car in the morning because the road where my local station is is busy from 7:30 onwards until everyone's at work. I can't help but wonder if these people start work really early or if it takes them that long to get to work for 9 every morning. I would hate having to drive for an hour to get to work everyday. Anyways, after that I had some breakfast with Amy and then off to school!

Then I went from there straight to work so.. Fast forward to 4pm!

I got home. Parked. Realised I'd forgotten to buy bread. Went straight  back to the shop before actually going in my house. I hate remembering something half way through a trip and you know that you'll have to go back before you do anything. Makes me feel like a silly person.

I had some time to fill before I went to pick Amy up so I hopped on Dragon's Dogma and I am really liking it. It's interesting how the game really does leave you to learn everything; like how important it is to listen to your team and that sometimes you have to run away or you die. Simple as. I think I'm going to really enjoy it especially as there seems to be a huge abundance of free roaming and extra quests to do. It's like a gold mine for my nerdiness!

When I picked Amy up we went straight to Maidstone as we were going to Pizza Hut. As its a Thursday and late night shopping we had a quick browse around the shops. Got another air freshener for the car as the old one was slowly giving up hope! I also went to have a look at that bag I really liked in Superdry.. It's still there.. Still £40.. Gimme? Maybe one day.

We had the usual cheesy bites BBQ pizza we always go for. It's so good. Never fails to make your taste buds do a dance. We actually finished it all for once because we were famished. And it seemed like a waste to get the new air freshener and then make the car smell like pizza anyway. A definition for pointlessness.

After that we went and had a wonder around Tesco's to get some bits and bobs.. Found a phone case I really liked but it was only for the iPhone 5 so.. My 'ickle iPhone 4S is too small for it. The. We went home and just let the hysterics set in as we realised we were really tired! I still am. So I think I will sleep a couple of seconds after I have shared this on the appropriate social medias. A yes.

I know it's a bit shorter than usual - but as just mentioned - I'm about ready to pass out. So I shall sleep soon. Maybe while you're reading this. Wuhahaha! Blog you later.

Day 11
Here's a picture of a pear made to look like its wearing bikini. It was the advert on the side of a cafe down Fremlins Walk in Maidstone. I thought it was pretty awesome so now it's being taken in by your brain box. You're welcome.

Wednesday 10 July 2013

Short?

I had work today so that sort of cuts the post short because that's a whole chunk if the day I don't like to talk about. Who wants to know about work?

We went crazy this morning - bacon muffins for breakfast and they were awesome. Bacon is used in breakfast, lunch and tea - sometimes even for a snack. It's a magical food sort. Amy's idea so thanks to her because it was super yummy. And then I took her to school - you know that already.

So the first thing I did today was clear up getting all the collectables on Halo Anniversary, it's always the tedious bit of a game because it usually means half playing through a lot of the game as quick as you can and then you make silly mistakes have to start over. That happened a lot. None the less, collected all the stuffs. I also found it very interesting that they may have included new story features in this one through the terminals. Anyone who has played Halo will probably know about the terminals, they give information about the games history. In this you get videos showing history rather than just a screen if text to read. Interesting things I must say.

I watched another film today. It really wasn't that, LoveFilm users had given it an overall score of 3.5 stars. I probably should tell you what film it was - Jonah Hex. I remember seeing it advertised when it came out thinking it looked good. It had a pretty random storyline which was really weak in places. The acting was pretty bad on some accounts.. Megan Fox in particular.. It seems like she did Transformers and then hopped on a fail train because she hasn't done a lot of good since. I hope she doesn't read this. Back to the film - it was also only 1 hour and 10 minutes long which really annoyed me because it makes it feel rushed. Like loads got left out. I must say the CGI was very good and his apparent power to bring the dead back to life by touching them was pretty cool but other than that.. Meh. In my opinion anyway.

I then played my new game - Dragon's Dogma and am really enjoying it. I love the free roam and customisation available and that I know it's really hard. Hard games either put people off or makes people love it as they get this big sense of achievement from doing it. I personally think most people get put off of it because they feel gaming should be relaxing and easy to just do. Games should be challenging others wise it doesn't really engage you. You're just a passive third person watching a pre determined story. I know that's what I am doing anyway but I'm doing it my way. Some games don't get released outside of Japan because they are considered too hard for us.

I seem to have gone on two little tangents today, about films and gaming again. I like films. I like games. Makes sense.

Blog you later.

Day 10
Here is the lovely thing which I called breakfast today. So good. I just want to eat at right now again. Maybe again. And another time after that.

Tuesday 9 July 2013

Tuesday

A little different start today compared to normal. Went to the coop. Didn't buy anything, just walked around seeing if the magazines had changed over it being magazine day n'all. They hadn't. The morning continued as normal ending with me taking Amy to school. Surprised?

So the first thing I did today was to re watch what I had seen of the men's final and then the end. I can honestly say that'll e one of the matches that in years to come people will ask 'did you see this match?' and I will be able to say yes. Now I'm not very sporty and don't watch a lot of sports, I do watch tennis and snooker though. And I know the general scene surrounding them, just when it comes to football I really couldn't care less as there are far too many names to remember! Plus they are all whiney little so and so's who fall down if a feather nudges them. Football has changed so much compared to when England actually won things. It's gotten less respectful of a sport if you ask me. Did I just rant about sports? I could be a bad journalist.

Anyway, after that I went for a walk to the shop to get the magazines as they had been swapped over. Glad to get myself out of the house for a while. I know everyone says to lay in the garden or something but if I am home alone I feel awake are being alone in the garden and I could guarantee I would miss the door or something. It was lovely weather to have a little walk in anyway, warm and breezy.

When I got in I thought I would achievement hunt on Halo Anniversary as I am trying to clean up my unfinished games. It gives me a goal which I find quite appealing as once you've done it you can see quite clearly that you have. Hence my addiction to achievement hunting. I must say, for such an old game, playing it now makes you realise how far ahead of all other companies they were upon releasing this. It was genius!

I then picked Amy up and we went to Sainsbury's. I bought Dragon's Dogma because I really like the look of it. I haven't tried it yet as I was busy in the evening and try not to play games into the early hours of the morning like I used to. Sleeping pattern is more important. We also got a little cooking book with pasta recipes in it because pasta is like our go to food. Just, we always have the same kinds and we wanted to branch out and try making our own sauces and stuff. If you are looking for any cookery books, Sainsbury's is the place to go right now because all of their books are really cheap. We got a book usually worth £25 for £6! Bargain.

We had pasta bake today. Haven't had it in ages and it was so good, I've missed it.

We watched Skins from last night today as well because it goes on a bit too late to get everything done on a Monday. It was Effy's last episode and it was so crazy. The depth of the stories which they have made I honestly didn't expect. I was expecting the reckless and care free randomness that I saw from the other series but this is like a really powerful drama. I won't ruin it for anyone else that hasn't seen it yet but wow. Be prepared.

The evening continued with general laziness and very nearly an accidental nap. There's a time and place and late at night is not the right one! Unless you can sleep through because you're a god of sleep.. I don't sleep all the well as my friends will know, find it awfully hard to fall asleep and twice as hard to wake up. I like to think its just a part of being adolescent and really hope I'll grow out if it. I love sleep and hate fighting for it!

I was thinking alongside the standard daily blogging shananigans that I should talk about some else. Anything, just something random like today my small tangents on sports and the quest for sleep. I think it'll bring something a little extra which may make you want to come and read. Just because you have no clue what I'll be on about. I don't half the time - this all comes out the tips of my thumbs on a whim every night. I like to think it works pretty well. Let me know what you think.

That's all for today. Thanks for reading. Blog you later.

Day 9
Here was pudding. Pop Tarts - the proper American ones from the American sweet shop in 'The Mall' in Maidstone. These are cookies and creams flavour and were mighty delicious. I would advise you try some but they are quite expensive being imports - just under £5. I'd say go halts with someone unless you love them and have no problem dishing out that amount of cash for them. Or if you live in America.. Go crazy because I'm sure they are no where near as much. Shabing.

Monday 8 July 2013

Monday and a film review

It's Monday. For another hour or so. Lets get typing.

So, today started off as normal. You must be waiting to read this bit and something different happened but no - not today. That early in the morning the flow of creative juices is shut so, they're all pretty similar. So as I took Amy over to her school, I was thinking it wasn't going to be awfully hot but by golly I was wrong. I'm very glad to have a fan which I can just blast at my face for short term relief.

Just a warning.. This post will probably contain some spoilers for someone so be careful what you read. If it sounds like you'll know something after reading it which you don't want to know - skip it. Preserve the experience!

The first thing I did was finish Dead Space 3, must say.. I am very impressed by it all. I know I've complained about the change in gameplay to create a game more for coop play but the ending was very good. Here's the spoilers - I was convinced Isaac was dead but I always wait through the credits, especially with Dead Space games as they like to hide little snippets at the end. He's not dead. Oh no; somehow he survived. I don't think this means Dead Space 4 because this one pretty much closed the story line and what not.. Maybe they were leaving it open for your imagination. I mean I'd like to think that Ellie finds him and they zoom off into space but.. I think they're intended idea was to basically tell you that Isaac ends up dying alone; knowing he's just saved everyone. Knowing he just got Ellie to leave. Who knows? That's the beauty of an open ended story.

I then went and did a couple of chores, sent something off at the post office and some mince for tea. It was a nice day for a walk plus I didn't want to get trapped behind the bin men as they were on my road at this point. Didn't want to get in their way either, they have a job to do. I ended up quite enjoying watching little yappy dogs having a woof at each other so - hey hey. All's well that ends well.

When I got in I tried to find the men's final on the iPlayer app but I couldn't find it. All the other matches have been in the same place so I assumed it wasn't uploaded. Amy pointed out to me that it is on there in a different section making me feel silly about half hour ago so - I think I'll watch the whole thing through again tomorrow. It was a great match so that's fine by me.

I then went on to play some Halo Anniversary again because there's a tonne of achievement I could get from that. It's really nice to go right back to the beginning of the franchise with this game because they haven't changed anything apart from giving you shiny new graphics to choose between. It's also strange to think that this game was the springboard for another 6 or so games.

Here's the film review for you peeps as the next thing I did was watch a film.. Yeah.

I watched 'Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World' and I must admit I was very surprised. It was advertised and is described as a comedy primarily and with the cast you would assume it to be. Honestly, yes, some of it was funny - not laugh out loud funny but it will make you smile. I think this would have done a lot better if portrayed as a rom-com because I honestly think that's what it is.

Here's the general idea of the story, with a lot of spoilers so skip this bit if you want to watch and judge for yourself. So the Earth is going to be destroyed by a massive meteor and no one can do anything about it. The main character - Dodge - has his wife run off on him to spend the end of her days away from him. He then by chance meets Penny who lives downstairs and they end up going on a strange journey to find his highs school sweetheart and a way for her to get to her family. What ends up happening is that they fall in love with each other, enjoy what time they have left and Dodge makes up with his father while he still has time - who owns a plane who can get her to her family. It's only a two seated though. Gallantly Dodge puts her on the plane and sends them off to find her family and goes home to spend his last days with a dog called Sorry. She comes back and they are happy and scared. Then everyone dies - strange ending but that's how it all went down.

I really quite enjoyed this film, I remember thinking it looked god in the cinema but something's are just better to wait for DVD or on demand services like LoveFilm. I would definitely recommend giving it a watch, it's rated 4/5 stars I think so people agree with me. It did get me really thinking about what would happen if the government knew the world was going to end. I'm pretty sure they would just let everyone to about their lives and not tell anyone. Save all the panic. It then got me thinking what would I do with my last days. It is really hard to try and even think of somewhere to start I can assure you.

So after that, it was time to pick up Amy thankfully, I like my evenings with her. It's Monday and we are getting into the old habit of having spaghetti again which I am fine with! We had that smooth sauce again which today really reminded me of tomato soup. I haven't had soup in ages. I like oxtail. I remember trying some of dads when I was young and not believing what it was when he told me. Tail.

We spent a lot of the evening fighting for attention from the fan because he's everyone's best friend now. We also watched the Gadget Show and they had some crazy stuff. I can't imagine being the person who wins their prizes because there's just so much stuff! I'm pretty sure you would sell most of it just because it would be more effort than its worth to switch everything around. Like mobiles, I'm on a contract so I'd have to buy out to use a different phone and then pay monthly again! Wouldn't turn it down though. Gimme your cool stuffs. And yes - 90210 was on. Shabang.

That's my day - I hope you were vaguely interested in my life for at least a moment. I have a goatee after all. Blog you later!

Day 8
Pudding! I forgot to take a picture of it before I started licking it but.. It's close enough. We wanted one because it seems to be quite a rare occasion where there is an ice cream man and change in our possession. Now there's a 99 in my tummy and £1 in his pot. Worth it!

Sunday 7 July 2013

Weekend!

Hello, it's time for my post about my weekend. I guess you have already guessed that by the title of the post or what I posted/tweeted. Quite a formal introduction if I do say so myself!

I think I would say that we were quite productive this weekend. Usually we are quite lazy but we were out and about both days.

Saturday we went over to Bluewater hoping that most people will be out enjoying the weather so it wouldn't be too busy. Turns out we were right as we even managed to get a parking space right up close to the entrance. Had a nice walk around, didn't find anything I liked because I have the fashion sense of a kangaroo. Amy got a new diary and some pins with tiny turtles on then. Pretty cute.

When we got back, we caught the end of the women's final for Wimbledon. Lisicki really wasn't playing all that well and it didn't help that the other girl was playing the best tennis she'd ever played! It was over very quickly, 6-1 6-4 but.. Still a good match to watch. It was just a shame that a lot of people were saying that Lisicki lost rather than the other girl winning. I can't remember her name for the life of me.

After that we headed to Homebase to get a new gas cylinder for the BBQ because we exhausted it last weekend. We decided to do a mini BBQ for me, Amy and my parents as we had some stuff left over in the freezer. I know it sounds a little big headed but I have got a lot better at cooking, from serving cold food last year to well cooked stuff this year. Practice makes perfect! No where near perfect. For those of you who saw my post yesterday you'll know what I am on about because I posted a picture of the food for my daily picture.

I guess we lazed around a little bit in the evening but it was so hot and humid I think most people did. I played some more Dead Space 3, pretty convinced I've almost competed that now but there's so many more achievements I need so that'll keep me occupied for a while. I'm looking at getting Dragons Dogma so if anyone has it and wants to tell me if its any good then.. Have at it. I got the idea from someone I'm subscribed to who I generally share the same taste in games with. Can get it brand new with the expansion for £18 in Sainsbury's so - maybe.

Today we were up and ready to go by about 10 to make sure we could go out but be back with plenty of time for the tennis. I'm sure most of you know what happened by now so I will say it.. Murray won. Yay!

We went to Maidstone, Amy got some new shoes and I was browsing the game shops to see if there was something I could pick up on the cheap. I am at the position where I really would quite like a new game to play so.. Hence my interest in Dragons Dogma. Once again, it was nice and quiet in Maidstone but there was a lot of traffic probably due to the Race For Life which my sister did - I'd like to say a massive well done to her.

Then we headed to Tesco's as Amy needed a couple of things to take to school with her. I think it may have been the fullest I've seen the car park in ages. Didn't seem to be that many people shopping which is what didn't make sense.

Once we were back from our adventures we went to Amy's to watch he tennis so that there would be no interruptions when I left for work at 5. That sucked because I missed watching him win but fortunately it's already up on iPlayer for me to watch tomorrow. What I did see was amazing, so many rallies over 20 shots long. Djokovic was on form compared to what he usually is.. Maybe it was the year or the massive semi final against Del Potro but that doesn't take away from the high quality game Murray was playing. I think that is the best I've ever seen him play. Congratulations to him.

Everyone's been saying that they are proud to be British and what not because Murray won - but to be fair we should just be proud of Murray representing us. We shouldn't be proud just when he wins because that doesn't change the fact that he is ranked number 2 in the world! Out of 7 billion people he is number 2, I'd say that's worth more of our pride and support than winning Wimbledon. That's the icing on the cake. Just my views. Doesn't count as a rant does it? I'm really going to miss Wimbledon, wish there was more tennis on to watch during the year. I think the next lot will be the ATP tour at the O2 arena later in the year for us non Sky viewers.

Thanks for reading this post, my blog has been hitting 60-70 views a day all week which is really amazing. I appreciate it all! Blog you later.

Day 7
Here's a lovely snap of me showing my support wearing the food up hat from The Sun newspaper. It's one of the only hats I've worn that fits my head properly and it was a folded up piece of paper. I have a large head.. Obviously Amy took this one as well because my arms are crossed. Or I am telekinetic. Deal with it.

Saturday 6 July 2013

Another pic

As I say, I don't usually do a blog on a Saturday but I need to post a picture! Also watch Holly Willoughby get angry at a women on This Morning, it was rather funny I must say.

Day 6
So, spoiler for tomorrow's blog I guess but.. We did a little BBQ today for me Amy and my parents. Did some chicken, some lamb skewer things and of course, burgers. Also some vegetables on a skewer like a vegetarian kebab. It was nice. Amy took the picture for me because I had all manner of muck on my hands and didn't want it on my phone so - thanks to her!

Friday 5 July 2013

Hey, here's a picture.

Have a picture. I usually do one blog to cover the weekend but here is a picture as promised!

Day 5
Just because it was a really nice day and it was a lovely view out of my window. Apart from the electric line, that's always right in the way.

Thursday 4 July 2013

What's up Thursday?

You'll never guess what - today started as any other day. You expect that. I took Amy to school but an hour later she rang to say she wasn't well!

I went and picked her up, put her to bed and told her to sleep because you get better a hell of a lot quicker. I ended up falling asleep as well for another 3 hours until about half 1.. Then I wanted to watch the tennis.

Today was the women's semi finals and I am still backing Lisicki and for anyone else who's following it, they'll know she is in the finals! Her match against Radwanska was a tough one an went to three sets. The other semi final was nothing more than a walkover for the winner. It was crazy, I think she only dropped a couple of games over all so.. She's going into the final feeling confident but Lisicki loves the centre court. No one predicted this final so it's anyone's for the taking.

Right now I am actually watching Murray's game from Wednesday which was on while I was at work. It's quite nice being able to watch it knowing that Murray is going to win already. I didn't know that the BBC iPlayer uploaded the bride games for you to watch as and when. It means I could watch his semi from tomorrow if I get the time because I know I'll miss that as I'll be at work again!

I played some random games today.. Because I've just got 100% of what I can get on FF13-2 and Borderlands 2, I thought I would achievement hunt elsewhere. I went for Halo Anniversary first I never finished playing through that. The first Halo was so good! And it's crazy changing from the old style graphics to the remastered HD graphics of Anniversary, really shows you how far technology has come. I then played some Dead Space 3 and I've managed to get back into that, still a little confused by the new gameplay style but.. It's also pretty scary. Keeps me on my toes.

Chicken dippers, waffles and sweetcorn. It was so good. And Amy said she likes her dippers with some Philadelphia? I thought it sounded really strange but I tried it.. And it's actually really good. Try it. I bought a chocolate fudge cake for everyone because I saw it on offer at work and thought it was worth a try. With my discount it was £2.70 and a pretty seven size and its so tasty. Probably terribly unhealthy but it's the little things in life they say. Om nom.

We watched the end of Skins from Monday today as well and I must say, it seems like a new direction for the program but it works really well. The characters have all grown up and the scenarios and issues have matured with them. When we watched it first, we were younger and enjoyed the rash up randomness of it, but as we have grown up as well, it all fits in. It makes sense. And I am really enjoying it.

So I watched a video from Vsauce again on the Youtubes and it was about what makes things creepy. It was really interesting to find out what causes us to feel the creeps. It's all to do with what our brain associates with being safe and unsafe. Scary things are considered unsafe so we react in defensive ways to them. Creepy things lay in the area in between where something looks safe but has characteristics which don't fit with it. Like a teddy bear with human teeth as shown in the video. I'm not really doing it justice here so if you're interested - go watch that video. It's currently the most recently uploaded video on Vsauce's channel.

He also went on to mention Stephen Kings ideas of what horror is and he split it into three sections. The grotesque, horror and terror. I might go into that a little more in another post because I find this quite interesting as well as I really enjoying anything by Stephen King.

Thanks for reading today. I shall blog you later.

Day 4
Here is a picture of my cat attacking a chicken dipper. He thought it was still alive because it was slightly warm so it was quite amusing watching him poke and probe at it before feeling safe to eat it.

Wednesday 3 July 2013

Just a picture

I've had quite a busy day, and I'm not going to discuss it on here because its not the place to do it really. I'm also knackered so sleep is the top of my agenda. After I did what I was doing in the day I went to work anyway so, I don't talk about that either!

So today is just a picture because I don't want to flake out of this challenge on day three. I might do something extra tomorrow to compensate if I can think of something I know about and find interesting! Blog you later.

Day 3
This little lovelies were a present from Amy. We were in Tonbridge Wells shopping and I saw them in the Tie Wrack outlet and loved them. She was looking for ideas to get for me so that's how I came to own them. I think they are awesome.

Tuesday 2 July 2013

How to Tuesday

You can do Tuesday however you want but I think we're doing it pretty well. I'm writing this out at 19:20, sitting on the floor of Cineworld Rochester waiting for Despicable Me 2. I want to make sure that I have it ready depending on when I get in later because I want to be up and awake tomorrow for reasons of which I shall not discuss.

It started as usual, up in the morning to pop Amy over to her school, I had some more chocolate hoop things because they are so tasty. I'm actually having breakfast.. Haven't done that in a while.

After that I watched Expendables 2 which I am borrowing from Amy's dad. It's not as good as the first one but then what films are better than the first? Well generally anyway.. After that a played some Borderlands 2 as I have been meaning to finish all the achievements on that for a while, only had 3 left to do after all. I managed to get them done so that is all out of the way.

I obviously then watched some tennis. Wasn't too excited for today because it was all the women's quarter finals and we had no Brits left but Lisicki won so I was happy with that result.

This bit comes from my bedroom as we are home. So we went to Frankie & Bennies and decided to both try something new. I went for blue cheese sauce in mushrooms with bread. Any went BBQ pulled pork potato skins. Tasty. I finally tried gnocchi today! Wasn't really worth the wait to be honest.. Quite gooey and sickly but it was nice.. Just couldn't finish it all. It was a bolognase and bacon bake with gnocchi. Amy had BBQ pulled pork bake, BBQ pasta is a strange combo. Worked well though. We shared a bit of cheesecake for dessert because we needed something sweet!

Then we saw Despicable Me 2! We had the right idea about going to a later showing to avoid the children as did many other adults. It was so good! One of the best films ever, most people have probably already seen it but if you haven't go and see it - if you have, see it again! We'll come too.

We were also very lucky and got one of the really close parking spaces with plenty of room both sides. Luxury.

That's all for today, hope you enjoyed. Shall blog you later on!

Day 2
This I took this morning because I've been saying about my dashboard of minions, thought I would show you. Apparently some of these toys are going on eBay for £15! None of the ones I've got mind you but it's still pretty crazy..

Monday 1 July 2013

Day 1?

So Amy challenged me to take a picture a day for an entire year starting from today. So I have to take a picture each day and post it on here. I think I should manage as long as I remember, even if it literally is just the picture due to me not having a lot of time etc.. We'll see how it goes shall we?

I feel like I was quite productive today but in hindsight I guess it really wasn't all that great.. The morning was pretty standard apart from I actually had breakfast for once, bowl of weetos, I think that's how it's spelt. The chocolate hoop things. Then I popped Amy over to school and I came back to a bed with no covers which was very appealing.

First thing I did was complete all of the achievements on FF13-2. I know it's not exactly hard or anything but it is very satisfying looking at it knowing you've done all there is to do. Quite a good feeling.

I started watching the tennis at half 11 because they start broadcasting in BBC 2 from then, but it's always the courts that are not shown very often, not centre or courts 1&2. For some reason they just don't look right on the screen and seem stretched or something.. Might just be where the seating is so close to the courts in comparison, just a perception thing.

Boy it was a good day of tennis. Unfortunately Robson went out so I don't think we have any more British women going through which is a shame. I am personally backing Sabine Lisicki, I think she's really awesome. Beat Williams today so there goes the favourite! Murray won in 3, as did Djokovic. It was all very enjoyable to watch. Why does Wimbledon only last two weeks? I need more!

I went to the shops at about half 1 and walked up the road glued to my phone watching the live scores update. I got some ingredients for tea as I was cooking strozopretti today! Haven't had it in a while and it was as good as always. Very proud of that dish. When I got in I had a fight with my bed sheets but it turned out pretty well for once, usually I leave the duvet looking all ruffled up and lumpy but it is nice and smooth for now.

The next chore on my list was to try and wash the lovely present from the bird that was left for me yesterday. It must have been sub a big bird, I know I said this yesterday but dayum! Big poppers. Managed to wash most of it away and not splash myself so I'd call it a win.

I did all this to get it out the way so I could watch Murray. The days he plays means that I only get to see him play on Mondays as I work Wednesday and Friday - and now I know I'll miss him Wednesday; possibly Friday assuming he gets through. I'm thinking it could be a Murray Djokovic final.. Djokovic beat Haas today in 3 sets even though he has always lost to Haas on grass in the past. Anyone's game really.

Dinner was so good. Couldn't finish it all so my parents got to try some, usually it's all gone before they get the chance but today they drew up lucky. They said it was good - more credit to my ego.

Spent the evening relaxing and the such, taking in the hot weather from outside. Watched some TV and what not - of course including 90210 because it is good. I still don't care. Also the new series of skins has started which I am quite looking forward to, I really enjoy it. Might have to OD it tomorrow though, too late now.. Sleep is calling.

Thanks for reading, down below is day one of my year of pictures. I hope. Blog you later.

Day 1
So today I thought I would share with you a piece of art I did during my GCSE's which I am very proud of. Good 30 hours spent on this, you may have already seen this in the photo feed on the left but I still have a look at it every now and then and think 'just put your mind to it.'

BBQ

So here is the post I said about doing which covers Saturday. Had a pretty busy day which as you can probably tell, ended with a BBQ.

First off we headed to Maidstone, by we I mean me, Amy, Mr Tate and Mr Cox. I call them that as they are both called Tom and you might get confused thinking of SatNavs. Amy wanted to go and see if she could find a summery dress to wear and to get some bits for other people. I also got some bits for other people - I found a bag in Super Dry which I quite liked but £40 at the moment would rather keep warm in my bank account. Plus I have no use for it at the moment.. It would just sit in my room looking pretty.

We had a Maccy D's for lunch and Any got a happy meal expecting to get a minion toy from it, hoping for a new addition for my cars dashboard. She got a Croods toy. Everyone else in that we could see had a minion! So she swapped it. If its Despicable Me on the box, it should be in the box. Hell yeah.

The we went to Sainsbury's in Aylesford because we had nothing to actually cook on the BBQ.. Which would have made it a bit boring. We'd just be using it to keep warm. There was nothing really all that good there to be honest - good value on the drinks side to get some fizzy pop that was non alcoholic for whoever didn't want it or was driving. So we headed to Tesco's because we knew they ha a whole selection just for BBQ's. It was also very cheap, £2 a bag or 3 for £5. That sorted us, and it all turned out to be pretty tasty too so frozen BBQ food is the way to go.

Me and Amy then popped over to the Sainsbury's in Sevenoaks as we knew there was a nice dress there which she liked. It's green and flowery and lovely and summery. Then after that it was just a case if waiting for people to come!

I won't give you a step by step of the BBQ because you can get the general idea of it - cooking and drinking and chatting and laughing. All in all about 14 people including me. Cooked about 20 burgers, 15 sausages, an onion and a steak. So far everyone is okay so I am going to say that my cooking has vastly improved since last year where I was serving half cold food.. But that was a while ago. The first steak I ever cooked was on a BBQ and apparently it was mighty fine.

I won't put any pictures on because I don't know if everyone there would mind or not so.. I will give you a picture of my car enjoying his wood chippings. Blog you later.
