Bye Bye Washy

Good *insert time of day here*. For example, good evening.

So today I wanted to get a good lump of Heroes out of the way because I was sort of confined to the house waiting for some things such as phone calls, messages and packages that I didn't want to miss. I am getting closer to the end of season 3 now, you can always tell because everything slowly starts to build up.. You can feel it. Then all hell will break loose, something unexpected will happen and then somehow they save the day. I know it seems predictable, sort of like a skeleton but trying to fill in the flesh - the story around it is impossible. You can never tell. Like the intro of a new character with a new power and.. Ahhh yeah. I would like to be Peter because he can just use any power and kick but.. And stuff. He kicks stuff.

I had a sandwich for lunch. Sweet chilli in it. And some ham. Sliced cheese. Yeah. Nom.

Kind of at a miss of things to include here so I won't make random stuff up.. Like lightsabers being invented. Because they haven't been - but scientists think they are getting close, apparently the replicated something like one with similar properties as in the films. Amy showed me on the Sky News App which I really should download because she is always showing some crazy stories on there and I end up telling you about them here.. But yeah. In a galaxy not so far away?

Day 92
So something else I did today was help to remove the dishwasher from it's space in the kitchen. It doesn't work anymore and I believe the new one is due to be delivered tomorrow. So once we got it outside after hacking one of it's legs off.. And getting water everywhere.. But not scratching the floor - we put it outside. We turned it on to it's side to let the water out and I thought it looked like a dish washer had been murdered so I took a picture. That's what I do. And that's how my mind works. Yo.

Power Cut

So I'm going to keep it short today because I am quite tired and the such so.. Yeah. Read on fellows.

I completely forgot to share my blog yesterday. I uploaded it and that was it.. Just walked away from my phone. I always post it on Facebook and Twitter but I got as many views as I usually would.. Maybe more. So I'm not sure if that was a load of new readers, people checking back or the title getting more hits in search engines - who knows? But thank you anyway.

The deep fat fryer we got came from Argos, just the value one so it wasn't hurtful on the pocket.I honestly wasn't expecting it to work amazingly because the last value kitchen appliance we got just didn't work.. A toastie machine from PC World. But that one was very impressive, it heated up in about 3 minutes and cooked the sweet potato chips really nicely. It made the outside edges crunchy and the inside fluffy just how we wanted them. All inspired buy that little food place at Cobham services - if only you weren't 40 miles away.

We went to Bluewater today because we can. Had a wonder around the shops. Amy is debating getting some Uggs as she has wanted them for as long as I can remember but now it's choosing which. I did some shopping for birthdays as October is a killer for me. 4 birthdays and then my car tax at the end of the month. Fab eh? We noticed today that there 'posh' bit of Bluewater seems to be quite deserted and then everywhere else and around the food court is very busy. 

I had work today and I know I don't usually talk about it but there were three power cuts today and.. It was night any way but the shop also has no windows. So it was pitch black for a second or two before the power kicked back in and it was pretty creepy. The first time I was serving people on till and obviously the tills run off of electricity so they stopped working.. And took a good 5-10 minutes to turn back on. Nice long queue. The other two times I was on my break sitting out the back on my own.. And then pitch black. It was creepy. I'm glad we have emergency power for when it doesn't come back on otherwise that would be a really scary place.

We were at Morrison's the other day and we found these two boxes of tablets next to each other. Someone either wants to have a tug of war with the top and bottom of their body - or they couldn't decide which prank they were going to pull.

Quick'un

This'll only be a quick one as my day was mainly comprised of the same components as yesterday so I'm sure you don't want to read all of that again.. But also I'm quite tired so my energy levels are running a tad low.

I did watch a very nice YouTube video today in which a magician does a magic trick for a homeless person and then gives them money. Somewhere in the region of $100 and it was very nice to see their reactions. One of them cried; tad emotional. The YouTube channel is called MagicofRahat if you want to check him out, a lot of tricks he does are pretty impressive. My favourite - and also how I found him - was his invisible driver prank where a car appears to drive through a drive-thru all by itself. He appears to have a lot of money to throw away..

Played some Rainbow Six.. Some Isaac.. Watching some Heroes. I'm on Series 3 now and it's getting to that point where you just have no clue of whats going to happen. My only gripe is that so many characters can see into the future, you keep being told whats going to happen.. And sometimes it does but then they add a twist on the end or they spend a lot of time changing the future. It's a little bit repetitive in terms of story line but please don't get me wrong - it is one of the best series I've watched. It's moved up in my estimations.

We were very adventurous with our dinner today - we made our own pork burgers with home made sweet potato chips. I would like to say it turned out pretty well, the chips weren't as crispy as we'd hoped but we think a deep fat fryer would do the trick there. We'd never done anything with sweet potato before ourselves; we've bought them at food places before but they're all done for you. They are really hard to cut, and the deep orange colour is quite confusing. Definitely tasty and from what I've been told they are really good for you. Tasty healthiness - hell yeah.

It's two fat ladies - 88. I wonder who invented them bingo calls. Anyway, here is the finished work of our labours. There's something about it making it all yourself which is somewhat satisfying - other than the taste.

Rainbow

Nothing to do with the beautiful light phenomenon but the free to gold Rainbow Six Vegas as I played a rather good session today. There's always been this nice community feel on Rainbow Six Games where you party up and play for a couple of hours together. No complaints, come and go as you please, doesn't matter how good you are as long as you try. It would appear that it becoming free has attracted back a lot of people who; like me; got rid of the game way back when and now feel like playing again. Everyone I played with today knew the old tricks which makes it smooth yet challenging. The only thing that annoys me is how long it takes to rank up - a looooong time to put it simply. Lots of fun though, so much variation with the weapon load outs and stuff - I'm still waiting to get the raging bull and desert eagles, very powerful pistols. Vegas 2 now feels even more tempting..

I went for another wonder to the coop as I felt like something warm for my lunch again because otherwise it would be two lots of sandwiches in one day. I had spaghetti with ham and mushrooms and some sort of cheese sauce which was £2 and a hell of a lot tastier than then thing I had yesterday. Much better than the 'truly irresistible' stuff. I know some of it probably is but that wasn't too much spice ruined the flavour. I was quite impressed with this one and luckily as it's all new range it's on offer. 

I watched some more Heroes today, I'm getting close to the end of the second series. I'm still confused as to why this series is only 11 episodes long but.. I guess I shouldn't question it. It won a load of awards and stuff. I also found out that Dexter is ending this month for good! Which is a shame because it was so good but also exciting because it means seasons 7-8 should be coming to LoveFilm at some point. As soon as that happens I am going into nerd mode.. Probably watch all 24 episodes in a handful of days. I've heard a lot of good things about Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad but I don't have sky so I can't watch anything like that.. And they are only available on LoveFilm if you get the discs sent to you. I would buy them but I wouldn't want to to just find out I didn't like it.. I think I saw seasons 1-5 of Breaking Bad for £20 in HMV yesterday - that was very tempting.

Good Evening

I am creating and posting this in the evening - this does not mean you can't look through it at any other time. Taa.

So today was a little different I guess, I spent the morning watching some videos and catching up with my subscriptions. I've been watching a lot of a YouTuber called Bisnap recently as he uploads The Binding of Isaac and he is like a God of the game so.. I'm trying to learn from him. I've also been watching a lot of ZackScottGames as he plays a lot of iOS based games which I could pick up and play too - even though I don't like paying for apps all that much.. But Angry Birds Space 2 does look pretty awesome.

I wondered to the coop as it seemed nice out, planned to get myself a ginsters slice, something nice and simple for the microwave. I ended up coming with with this 'Truly Irresistible' ready meal which was basically noodles, prawns and some sort of sauce with tomatoes. I sometimes get a massive craving for prawns, I really like them. Especially at Chimichanga, the paella is ridden with prawns. It wasn't terrible but.. It wasn't amazing as the label would suggest. I was happy to have the prawns to be quite honest.

I also randomly watched The Avengers because I really wanted some super hero action going on. I think I should watch through all the DVD's in that box set I bought because I think I've only watched that out of it and there are 5 others in it.. Seems like a waste to just let my mum keep watching them without me. I haven't seen The Hulk in forever - maybe thats the next venture.

I then played about half an hours worth of Rainbow Six Vegas as it was free on the dashboard with gold, there are actually people playing it. Which is nice - it's like an old game getting a second wind. I forgot how fun it was, makes me want to pick up the second one because that was obviously much better but.. It's not worth it. Probably find the hype won't last all that long anyway.

After picking Amy up from school we scooted off to Bluewater to do some shopping, and wonder around and to get some tea. We actually bought stuff which is better than usual.. Usually we end up aimlessly walking around and out journeys bear no fruit. Amy got some clothes.. I'm a guy so they are just clothes. A new Yankee Candle only available at Halloween, it's called Candy Corn which smells like a much more handleable salted caramel, no where near as sickly. It also has a nice pattern around the jar which is orange and black - look down below. We also got a wick trimmer because the wick is supposed to be 0.5cm long to ensure proper burn rate and spread.. Who knew candles had to be burnt so specifically? Then Nandos. Woop. Chicken is tasty. We also had some haloumi cheese - most definitely spelled incorrectly but I'm sure those of you who know what it is will know. I added it into my burger because the slice was the perfect size for the chicken. It's like it was meant to be - in my stomach. Yeah. Destiny.

We popped to Morrisons on the way back and got some bits and bobs we needed - not our first choice but it was on our way back so yeah.. And they always have the cheapest petrol. Then home! A good evening if I do say so myself.

I was driving home and for some reason I began wondering why we still make manual cars. I understand it is what most people are probably accustomed to but with them you get stalls and grinding gears. We make cars that are automatic or double clutched so we don't need to use it. It just doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.. Unless this is just my mind. 

Amy also told me about this crazy fake Apple advert which told people that iOS7 made their phones or tablets waterproof - and people believed it. People ending up going to the Apple stores with damaged phones because they believed it! It is just crazy.. It claimed to power out the gadget to prevent damage to the circuits and bits but.. Just no! People really shouldn't believe everything they see. Plus, why would you just throw your phone in water to test it anyway? Here's the story:

Day 86
Here is the new candle, this appears to be the largest size it comes in - it was the largest we saw. They only release seasonal ones once a year for a small amount of time - obviously. I don't know if they're the same every year or what but.. The other two weren't that nice. One was Witches Brew which just smelt like something crazy horrible, the other was Happy Halloween which smelt like liquorice. I don't like liquorice.

Today is Sunday

Hello internet. 

So, I will go into further detail about the fishing trip with my dad because.. Friday I just do a picture. So we started off by heading to a bait shop in Gravesend and there were pictures of these huge catches up on the till area. I want to catch one like that now but I won't try and get ahead of myself. Then we got a bacon sandwich from this little cafe in the market area which was really good value. This massive plate breakfast with basically everything on it for only £6.50. We headed over to this little industrial estate where the bait shop suggested fishing but the car park was only for two hours. We ended up parking at Blockbusters who said we could park there all day as long as we gave some money to charity - awesome person that man. So we parked up and walked over to the sea well and started fishing.

I won't lie.. Casting off is really scary the first time you do it. You have a long bendy stick with razor sharp hooks and a weight on which you are waving around. My first cast sort of went.. Very high up rather than out to the water as I let go far too early. I got the hang of it eventually and I can cast about 20 meters out.. Roughly? I'm not really sure. First we caught two crabs who just held onto the line for no apparent reason. Then my dad caught the eel which I showed yesterday, then I caught two little fish, one of which you can see down the bottom. I found it a lot more enjoyable than I first thought I would and I really want to go again now!

Then I had work. Bloop.

Yesterday we popped to Maidstone to look for some bits, didn't find what we needed.. Amy told me today that there is going to be a new drive-thru McDonalds by the cinema. For those of you who know where that it - the old car showroom at the end of the road leading to it is apparently where it will be. I think thats a good place for it but there will be a hell of a lot more traffic there now.. And the little fish and chip shop opposite might find itself being out played..

We then headed to Tonbridge to try and find stuff. Once again we were unsuccessful. We did have a Subway though so I that made the trip worth it to me. I do like a Subway, can't beat fresh ingredients. 

We then went home for a bit and for some reason my mind is drawing a blank on what we actually did for a couple of hours.. Grey area!

We then went to Asda and Tescos because we felt like it. Did a little bit of shopping. Browsed the new DVD releases. I would one day like to upgrade and get a Blu-ray player but the films are so expensive! I would probably get one and never use it. I know they says its true HD and all that but I have an old TV which probably wouldn't handle it so well.. And all the extras - no one ever looks at them. Unless it is a film you love. Love love love.

We had takeaway pizza with these amazing BBQ chicken wings, Amy had discovered them a week ago and insisted that I try them. Oh-em-gee. They were so good. We also watched X Factor waiting to see Andrea and it seemed like they were saving her until the end as they usually have the best ones on at that point. She was on screen for all about.. 20 seconds? Which was a shame and everyone from our old school was posting on FB and Twitter saying - 'is that all she gets!?' but we know she's good. We know.

Today was mainly chilling until I had work. Bloop.

I'm sure most people will have seen some sort of silly picture relating to iOS7 somewhere by now about how everyones talking about it and nothings really that special.. And walking around on the weekend it was funny actually hearing a load of people talking about it. I never really noticed that many people were so baffled by it, saying it looks like Android and what not. Even if it does, at the end of the day it doesn't really matter. A phone is a phone, yes we like to have nice ones and yes they'll all copy each other. You can't copy right or patent a layout or design, it's one of those creative things which would be impossible to argue in court. Yeah.

Another catch from the fishing expedition! This one was caught by my dad, it really did have a good old yank on the rod. Eels are not the nicest thing to hold I will warn you.. Leaves this horrible goo all over you. And they are very strong for little things! Well, this one was about 30cm/12" long so not tiny. Icky. He swam off quite happily after most likely having a panic attack as to how he learned to fly.

I went fishing for the first time today, I've been crabbing before but I guess that doesn't really count.. We fished off of a sea wall in Gravesend. I quite enjoyed it, I went with my dad. We caught two crabs, an eel and two baby fish which we guessed to be bass. Here are the crabs having a group photo.

Light as a feather

I must say that Heroes is really growing on me, it's still not up there with the likes of Lost and Dexter but it is good.. I really like how it has comic book aspects and the cheesy epic voice over man voice which updates you on stuff from the last episode. My favourite character - for those of you who have also watched it - is Isaac. I really would just love to be able to paint as well as his character does, it's just amazing. Comic book art requires a certain degree of freedom from your creative which I don't have. I can draw accurate stuff.. Basically I am good at copying. I am terrible at creating my own things. I also really like Hiro because he just awesome. He's like a little child in the way he acts sometimes but at the end of the day, he is as noble as they come.

Anyway, I decided to get my hair cut today because the mop which I called my hair was just out of hand. So I had a shower, headed out and it started to rain. Of course. I wasn't too bothered because that meant the chances were that no one else would be out to get their hair cut.. A rainy day keeps people inside because they can wait just one more day to get their hair cut. Ya know. As soon as I walked out my head felt really light and I could feel the breeze down the back of my neck. Now I remember why I had it so long in the first place. My head stays nice and warm, especially in the winter.

I then got some bits and bobs from the Coop and I thought I would go for a cheeky scratch card. £20. I was rather happy I must say because I basically made a little bit of money.. Plus I have not won anything more than £6 on a scratch card in the last couple of months. £20 is also the new high score so to say, so alls well that ends well.

So iOS7 is now on my phone and.. Erm.. Yeah. I am really not all too sure what to think about it at the moment. I like some of the new simple things which have been added which make perfect sense, like being able to turn the flash on without the need of an app. I like that you can now have more than one page in folders to reduce clutter. I really like my screen to be organised. I like the dynamic backgrounds which move and glow and stuff, just fun to look at. The lock screen button is great because you're less likely to put your passcode in wrong now. Siri doesn't seem to be working 100% anymore.. He keeps telling me he is unavailable to do stuff. A lot of menus and stuff have changed which I can understand but it was hard enough looking through it all in the first place to find things. Now I've got to learn it all over again! I think it's just going to need me getting used to it, when I first got it, it was my very first Apple product. And any other one I had used before had been pretty much the same. So.. I guess that's why it feels like a huge difference. The only other problem is that some of my apps aren't compatible with it yet. Mainly ones from smaller developers that couldn't get everything done on time or didn't get access to iOS7.. I don't know. It'll be updated eventually.

I used to have this really strange feeling of ice cold feet when I first started driving on my own when filling up at a petrol station. I remember thinking that I wasn't doing it right and it was leaking all over my feet. Obviously it wasn't but it stopped.. I was filling up today and the sensation came back. I say sensation but it really isn't a very nice feeling. It makes me shudder.. Just randomly thought you might like to know that. Wuha!

I have been looking through all of my old photos on my phone, mainly because I needed to delete some to make room for the update.. But it means I have found some new pictures which I can use like today; when I don't take a picture of something to share. I found this one in The Sun because that's the only paper that has printing space readily available for animals with funny markings on their coats. Top hat cat - meet world.

iOS7

I haven't got iOS7 yet, I completely forgot about it all day to be quite honest but I guess I shall have to do it tomorrow or tonight.. Maybe. I'll forget again. So as of right now.. I have no clue what's going on with this 'new phone download' type thing.

So having run out of Dexter to watch.. I thought I would browse through LoveFilm instant again to see what else there was on there. I stuck to TV series because I quite enjoy knowing I have a lot of stuff ready to watch rather than watching one film, then needing to find another and so on.. I saw this new series added called Copper and it was about police in the late 1800's and as I had been watching something else based on police I thought.. Why not? Let's give it a try. I turned it off after 5 minutes, I just got bored. There's something about shows that try to go back to the old days, sometimes they get it right and other times you can just tell it's fake. I ended up going to Heroes and I am glad I did.

It was a lot better than I remember, it's quite interesting in the fact that they don't tell you anything straight away. I think that's to try and let you work things out for yourself first and then they will inform you if you are right or wrong. The only thing that annoys me is the series lengths, they're all different. Series 1 and 3 are both 25 or so long, but then 2 and 4 don't make it past 15. To me that says the writer was making it up as the show went along, had problems thinking of ideas and decided to cut series short as to not force content out. Maybe its the little bit of OCD in me that likes this to be the same, but most other TV series have the exact same number of shows in each.

I got slapped on the hand by a customer today at work. H'mergh.

Dino-food

So I was at work again today so you know.. Sort of don't talk about that. 

The weather didn't actually start off too bad today, it was clear and sunny and then.. I looked outside the shop and it was a torrential downpour. I do love the weather in the way that it can change it's mind whenever it wants and you just have to go with it. Nothing you can do about it!

I turned my Xbox on and I'll usually have maybe 1-2 friends online because everyone hasn't got nearly as much free time as they did at school to game etc. Signed on today - 8 friends, 7 of which playing Grand Theft Auto V. And I just wanted to just turn my Xbox off because I really don't like the game! There is just something about it which I don't agree with especially when younger people are playing it, it's an 18 for a reason. But then again, I've always been one for the rules and I know I didn't exactly stick to them myself but.. I guess its the benefit on hindsight.

Microsoft recently decided to get rid of Microsoft points so that you just straight up buy stuff rather than basically exchanging your money into a different currency to buy stuff. It makes sense, its easier but it makes everything seem so much more expensive. When it was points they seemed useless because all you could use them on would be content for your games but now its money, it makes me look at it and think - 'Really? I could get a McDonalds for that!' I know I'm not spending anymore than I would have before but I guess it's one of them psychological things.. It has sort of further screwed over game shops mainly because now they don't have the points to sell and make a little profit. We went to Tesco's today and they were offering £6 of GTA V if you bought Microsoft points with it - just a way to get rid of the stock obviously because it's going to be discontinued..

New iOS tomorrow - I think I'm excited because by the looks of it, it's completely different and it'll be like an entirely new phone. It'll be good in the sense of.. It will keep people with Apple as they're phone becomes a new toy again, some people might come to Apple to try it.. My only worry is that I'm so used to this one that half the things I do right now won't work anymore. For all I know the fundamentals are all the same and we're looking at a re-skin but we can't tell until tomorrow. We'll find out soon enough.

We had some pork chops for tea today and I like to cut them open to make sure they're not pink inside and the such. When you cook stuff, it shrinks because of the heat etc.. But after I cut this one it continued to get smaller and it made it look like a dinosaur. A dinosaur that likes to eat my sweetcorn. OM NOM.

EDF Bouncy Thing

The bouncy thing will be explained in the picture of the day so if you are here for that - shoot off down the bottom.

I only have 3 more episodes of Dexter to watch until I have exhausted the supply on LoveFilm. I'm a little sad because like The Walking Dead, I have no idea when the new series will pop up. I think Walking Dead is on season 4.. Maybe at the end of this month? I don't really keep up with anything on the TV.. There was that program called Blackout on channel 4 that looked pretty good.. And the on demand service from channel 4 lasts for 30 days. I do like that.

So games for gold has spewed out something wonderful, Rainbow Six Vegas! I know it's quite an old game to be fair but.. I used to play it all the time. Like literally, all the time. I would play it for hours every night with my friends from down the road. I would love to play some multiplayer and/or terrorist hunt with some people so.. If any random people are reading this, have an Xbox and are interested in doing this then send me a friend request on la Xbox - iMaticus is my tag. Please add a message alongside it to let me know that you are adding me for the purpose of RSV. I tend to get a lot of random requests after playing for a stint online..

I got a rather hefty set of evil eyes shot my way today. So I am driving up a road where I have right of way as the entire other side of the road has parked cars along it.. And someone to try's to force their way down the road. Now I am not going to curb my wheels because I don't want to fork out for some new ones. So I even wait in an area where she could pull back in so she isn't blocking the traffic - turns out I'm the bad guy. Rules of the road people!

The thing I really don't like the weather about this time of year.. Is it will be really cold in the morning and evening but during the day its really not all that bad. So you'll layer up in the morning and try and stay toasty but then by midday you need to strip off to cool down! Then again.. I might owe this to my abnormally high body temperature. I was working through the frozen stuff at work the other day.. I thought I would be a good boy and use the gloves provided but I had to take them off because I was getting too hot. I'm strange in the fact that I will still overheat working with stock thats about -18.. Yeah. Useful.

I keep seeing loads of tweets about GTA V and I must say.. Not interested at all. I have watched people play other ones.. I've tried some.. But I have literally never been so bored in my life. It just bores me.. The style of gameplay doesn't appeal to me. Keep it away!

Day 78
This is the EDF bouncy thing which I referred to above. I'm not really sure what it's real name is.. If it has one.. Anything like that. My mum and dad got it out of a grabby machine in an arcade in Southsea. It actually jammed and the technician gave it to them so I guess it counts as winning. Close enough. My dad doesn't like them anymore because you could leave arcades with armfuls of cuddly toys but it's all about making money not entertaining people these days.

Animals

I've just noticed that my last 3 posts - including todays - have been pictures of animals. It just seems that animals are being rather photogenic for me lately. Well.. Not photogenic but there and staying still so it's not blurry. You know how they can be.

Sorry that the last couple of days have been a bit skimpy on the content side.. Just pictures really but some stuff as has been going on which means I've been a bit distracted so sorry about that but it should be back to normal runnings from here on out.

Some of you may have noticed that I have recently re-skinned the blog, for a while I was also using a 'dynamic' one which was a page of pictures which when clicked on opened the associated post. I like that, it loaded up differently every time but.. It didn't format or work properly on mobile devices and on tablets so I didn't want to limit my content to anyone. Plus you loose all the space for a sidebar to have other links in. So I thought I would go for what it is now, the same sort of layout but a new colour scheme. I know it's quite grey but I like that colour and the way the backgrounds of the post with the white texts stands out. I will probably jumble it up again at some point, might look into making my own one if I can find out how.

I was wondering around Sainsbury's today and they randomly had the 2014 Minecraft annual. I didn't even know that they did one but it was very well made, it had a load of ideas for stuff to build. It was quite funny to be honest, it's just amazing how far it has come from being one mans hobby to a global phenomenon. All I say is well done to him.

I have been told that the music teacher from my old school is on the X Factor next week so watch her and see how good she is. Andrea is who you are looking out for!

I think I mentioned before that S04 E01 of Dexter wasn't working on LoveFilm so I thought I would send them a message letting them know and then it was working again the next day so I am not actually on season 5.. I am going to be so annoyed when I finish season 6 because I think it'll be a while before the newest season gets on there. It's only just come out on DVD I'm pretty sure. Still so addicting to watch.

I have been informed that Jeremy Clarkson is thinking about running for parliament and no one knows if he is being serious or not.. And where it would be quite interesting if he were to succeed I don't think he would take it seriously. Yes, he would speak his mind and campaign for things he would want but.. I think it would all be a bit naive and for the cameras rather than because he actually wants it.. Just me thoughts.

So here is another animal picture. This time it is of my cat. He is actually coming back inside now which shows the weather is really taking a turn for the worse because otherwise he doesn't care for the inside world. I'd mentioned to Amy before about cat games on the iPad and seen some cats playing them on YouTube. We actually decided to try some. I think it held his attention for all of.. 20 seconds? Maybe. Then he just ignored it.

Everyone loves a little 20p Fredo bar but I can honestly say I don't know a lot of people that like real frogs. I quite like them, they're small and bouncy and fun to catch. Obviously I don't hurt them, I let them go near some flies in the hope of one day seeing one use its tongue.. I'm pretty sure frogs in England don't do that anyway but.. I man can dream. I found this one in Amy's garden so I thought I would take a picture and play with it for a while. I think he liked me.

I think I have shown these cans before as they were imported from America but.. I remember back then me and Amy had this weird craze about American food. At this point, Tesco had started stocking American style desserts so let's just say we were very happy. The only downside was these things were probably the sickliest things to eat, so it would take a couple of days to finish and by that time you were reluctant to have another bite!

9-3

Not the conventional 9-5 jobby but I will take what I can get. So yes, I was at work for the majority of the day so we shall skip to the end really. After work I picked Amy up and then we chilled for a while. Had some tea - cheese burger and chips from the chip shop. The ketchup they use in them is always so dang tasty but it's probably from some huge industrial size dispenser so.. We wouldn't be able to get our hands on it. 

Amy also had this little meeting type event which she attended at her school so I dropped her back off up there around half 6 and felt a little odd.. Because usually when I drop her off it's pretty late so I was at home thinking I should get ready for bed because my body clock is associating this event to sleepiness. I just find it a little strange that we can subconsciously train ourselves to feel sleepy or wake up.. Even though consciously we know whats going on. It's like tricking yourself. Very useful though if you can master it - waking up in the morning will never have felt so easy. People say you can make yourself get up in the morning by blacking out your room, setting an alarm to go off and practice a routine of getting up. That way your body will think the noise of the alarm means time to move! Only thing is on weekends you'll probably never have a lay in..

I haven't been able to watch any more Dexter which is a mighty shame. It really helps to pass the time. I'm about to start season 4 but the first episode just bluntly refuses to work on the Mac or on the Xbox so.. All the other episodes are fine but I can't skip it. Just not a thing I can do..

See, I'm very open minded and think everyone should have their own opinion.. And I don't want this to sound mean.. But I was at work, and this couple came in and very loudly complained to each other that the range of alcohol kept refrigerated wasn't very good. We agree it's not the best but we don't get to choose what goes where.. We get told. I wouldn't be mentioning this until they looked straight at me and gave me the evil eye. Like it was my fault. My bad?

I've been getting a lot of hours in on Isaac lately and it's still a lot of fun because there is so much stuff to unlock but I've just got this new character and I am just so awful with him.. And ironically you need to beat the boss with him to unlock the item I want. Blah. Perseverance shall reign true through this.

I really remember having something else I was going to mention but it has flitted off to another part of my brain to have a dance. On its own. Blog you later. It'll pop back once I have posted this..

So.. You see all of these pictures of Siri saying some strange stuff depending on what you say to it.. And I forgot to take a picture today so I was scrolling through my phone to find something and found this. It just really felt like Siri managed to slap me with text on a screen.

I find myself finding it harder and harder to think of titles for my posts when I have basically done the same as last week. So going for the number of todays picture is always going to be different. 

So as I just mentioned, my day did mainly consist of watching Dexter and playing some Isaac, it was one of them annoying days where I had the energy to do something but the weather was pretty abysmal to put it simply.. I would've just gone for a walk by myself or with anyone around just to pass the time and have a chat but.. If all you're going to talk about is how wet you now are it's not really worth the walk.

Anyone reading this who has Steam and knows of a game that's relatively cheap but fun, let me know. I am currently only playing Isaac, which for some reason is not unlocking any achievements. I like turn based strategy games like Final Fantasy but.. It's really hard to find any games like that because there isn't a genre specific to it. I just find it crazy how huge the discounts are sometimes on there.. Up to 75% off!

I did pop along to Tesco's today to get some bits for tea as we didn't have what we needed at hand.. I always hate it in car parks when the cars are parked so bad that you try to pull in, then have to literally go find another space because you're not comfortable leaving you're car next to them. It's always the people with the big expensive cars who are scared that a moth will land on it. And there are always people parked in the disabled spaces without blue badges. I am not saying that they aren't disabled but who knows? Where I work, we have an area away from the shop to park and people still come and sit there to wait. It even says that unauthorised parking will lead to clamping and a fine. Then when we block them in because there's no where else to park - angry mode activate! Can't win really. Parking sucks. But it does lead to people making funny posts which end up on 9gag.

So I don't know if any of you are watching Gadget Man on channel 4, it's only two episodes in but it's so cool. Basically all of the things on there are daft and overpriced and you wouldn't dream of using them but.. It does show how much money rich people will throw away on silly things. Like a shower controlled by your Apple device for £16,000! Yeah, adjustable flows and heat and what not but.. A normal shower does just fine. The random temperature changes help wake you up in the morning as uncomfortable as they are. Today was also the first time that Google Glass was filmed for a TV show and I must say that they have pretty good picture quality.. I just don't see them taking off at all. If everyone had them, everyone would be talking to themselves.

I popped into the shop where I worked today to pick something up that I left there and noticed this box out the back of the shop. Inside is one of them stands you see filled with a new product or something.. Made of cardboard but with the stock prepacked. They can be pretty heavy if it's new chocolate bars so I understand the picture.. I just found it pretty funny.

Browsing

So, how about my weekend? It consisted of 2 days and some stuff. Standard..

So Saturday, I took my Dad to East Grinstead to buy a car and he can't really drive there and drive two back so.. I'd never been there before so it was an interesting little drive. Lots of country lanes and then a horrible one way system in a town centre which seems to be the norm this days.. I understand why they put them in but.. For anyone just trying to pass through it can turn out to be a little bit of nightmare. We we're using my phone as a Satnav and it managed to navigate through but a lot of the 'turns' where just sharp corners in the road rather than changing road.. So I found myself looking for turnings that weren't there. The new car is quite nice, an 02 vauxhall astra estate. Very clean, but it's white so it won't stay that way.

After that, me and Amy toddled over to Staples to try and find some little drawers that she can use for school.. We went to Tonbridge Wells first as there was an industrial estate with one there. The traffic was ridiculous, basically a stand still most of the time. And then they didn't have what we were looking for which was even better! The only other Staples nearby is in Chatham so we headed there and managed to get the bits. I swear there used to be loads of staples around but obviously they've all gone or they were never there.

We had planned to see a film and have dinner but by the time we were done it would have meant waiting around for an hour for the film, as everywhere was packed for dinner.. Or go home and come back. In the end we chose to just stay in and watch X Factor, not as good as last weeks but there were some good acts. I'm still waiting for that teacher from my old school to turn up! This is obviously assuming they show here but.. Usually they show the goodun's and we know for a fact she is good.

Today we popped over to Bluewater to have a wonder around. Grabbed a Nando's. They had randomly put out a large chess set which you could play with.. There was also air hockey tables next to that 4D simulator thingy. An ineresting move by the Bluewater management.

I then had work. Bleh. You know that stuff.

Dexter..

I am so addicted to watching Dexter.. I'm quite ashamed to say that I watched 8 episodes today back to back.. I know that's really really bad but I enjoyed it. The story is just so thrilling and it keeps me captivated and I can't stop watching. I guess that is the sign of a really good program. The inner monologue running in his head sparks some interesting questions. The character in the show has no feelings so wonders why 'humans' do and act they way they do. Watching it will really get you thinking about it too. I think it was interesting how they showed characters agreeing with the murders as justified and others saying its sick.. It's pretty bold stuff to put on TV. Just keeps me going back for more.

Otherwise I was playing Binding Of Isaac alongside it.. And I have all the knowledge about the game in my head but actually getting my fingers to play out what I should do - completely different matter. It's a game I can see myself being really addicted to because it has all of the things I love about a game. Hundreds of things to collect, unlock and infinite item combinations. It literally becomes a new game every time you start playing and I must say that I admire the creators. Rebirth is going to EPIC!

So this evening, me and Amy cooked spaghetti bolognese.. Not on a Monday - how rebellious. For some reason it felt like a really long time since we had last cooked anything but.. Home cooked food always has that slight edge because even though it'll probably have less flavour than restaurant food, its got your effort worked in. How poetic did that sound?

We sort of played with the cat for a bit.. It's hard to tell when you are playing with him because a lot of the time he is just an evil little thing. He used to love playing with a balled up tissue but.. It sort of just bounces off of him and he looks at it like nothing is going on. He'll chase the hell out of a little piece of treat but then as soon as it's at the end of his nose it mysteriously disappears. According to him. Then you get the evils because he can't see it until you put your finger next to it and nearly has that off as well. He's getting old. That's the excuse.

I think I shall leave it there. Nice early start. Nice? An early start tomorrow. Blog you later.

So we have got even more Christmas stuff in and selling already.. So we thought we would try these little Malteser reindeer. How cute. I felt really bad as I usually just eat the head first or I feel like I'm tortutring the poor things.. But his antlers were in the way so that had to come first. He tasted good though.

Man Stuff

So people are back to school now. Which means back into the routine which really didn't seem as hard as I thought it would be to get back into.. I know I'm saying this after one day but I managed to wake up quite early. I did fall back to sleep, and I finally managed to have a lucid dream. A lucid dream is one in which you realise you are asleep and are dreaming, then you can control your dream. Only thing was I realised I was asleep and instead of enjoying it I was like 'no, you're supposed to be awake now, get up!' which worked.. I got up and out of bed so.. It has it's perks lucid dreaming.

So I did some man stuff today, my Dad wanted to go look around some breakers yards to try find a roof rack for his car so I tagged along. I even changed in to tracksuits so that my trousers would stay clean. We went to about 5 different breakers yards and a couple of second hand car salesmen but we came up with nothing. One of the yards had two dogs who looked quite bored - I don't blame them as every morning they probably get really excited getting in the car then they just lay around all day.. I mean I know they would do the same at home and they have lots of space to wonder and run. But they really did look bored.

Looking around them, I found it strange how many cars there are just sitting there. And the amount of cars you see on the road. Parked. Anywhere, all of that stuff is made from other stuff which we pull out of the ground. I find that amazing. That there is that much stuff to make so many cars. But hey - that's just me.

As I have lucid dreaming in my head no, I think I will just pass off some random knowledge to anyone who wants to know or try it. It's hard to do.. Today was the first dream I can recollect having any control in. The best time to do it is just after you have woken up, like I did this morning. It wakes your brain up and makes it active so when you drift off again it is much easier to dream. Keep a log of dreams you can remember, that way you can read through and think about those things again if you have a dream. That way you can recognise you're in a dream. Also, make a habit of just randomly stopping and counting your fingers. 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10. In a dream you'll find counting nearly impossible, it just makes you realise that you're dreaming. Once you realise, you're free to do whatever you want really. It's like taking an afternoon stroll in your imagination. It's not going to be some crazy Inception type moment and you can't just walk off into someone else's mind (yet) so.. Yeah.

Then I went to work, boom.

Two For Tuesdays

So today was actually the last day before some people go back to school. I know some schools went back today. Schools good for you so don't complain. 

So today, we went to Maidstone to try and find some bits and I use the word try because we didn't find any of it.. But it's not too bad. Got us out the house rather than sitting in all day, that can get a little tedious. The only thing we did buy was a bottle of water because Amy got a bit of a headache. I blame the weather suddenly relapsing back to summer, whats the deal with that? I'd quite like it to cool down a bit now.. Warm but breezy is the way to go.. Please? We were pretty lucky with the parking though. According to the thing we arrived dead on 2pm, and we paid at 2:59 pm so.. 1 more minute and the parking charge would have gone up. Legit skills.

When we got back in she still didn't feel so well so she went to have a lay down, so I decided to watch another episode of Dexter. I've got one episode left in the first series to watch, I was thinking of doing like.. A little summary once I have seen it all just to mention things which I do and don't like. It will obviously have spoilers for those of you like me who haven't started or have only just started watching it but.. For people who have seen it, it may rekindle your memory a little. I think it's still on TV so there'll always be more to watch. It's the type of thing I really have no idea about how they could end the series.. Like completely. For example, Only Fools and Horses ended with them finally becoming millionaires and then loosing it all again. Which I really hate a lot. With this could they make him develop feelings and just give up killing? I don't know. Speculation.

Pizza Hut + Tuesday = Two for Tuesdays, or buy one get on free on pizzas when you collect them. So we did that. We had to go in to Maidstone from a different direction that what we're used to which was pretty freaky. I know that sounds silly but I don't like driving new places. It's just horrible and what not. Once you know the road it's really not so bad but until that point.. Bleh. We went in a different way so we could just pull over and pick the pizza up rather than paying for 5 minutes of parking.

As I have mentioned, I am now playing The Binding of Isaac. I got it through Steam which is like the Xbox 360 dashboard but for your Mac or PC. I was browsing through and I was just thinking to myself.. I need to disable my card on it or something, there are so many games I've watched on YouTube and always wanted to play and now I can. And they always have sales on, and offers.. One game was 50p. 50p! Just so much stuff which is oh so tempting. But I have good self restraint. I will not buy anything else.. Right now. I saw Game Developer Tycoon on there and that looks quite interesting to play, I've watched some Let's Plays of it so.. I get the idea. I just find it strange how there is a crazy span in the price range. Like the game that was 50p.. Then there are ones which come in three parts costing £60 each! Dayum.

Day 65
So I mentioned a couple of days ago that the shop where I work is already selling Christmas stock, the snowman chocolate things. Well we thought we would try them and I must say that they are pretty good. Definitely keep them in the fridge though because the inside is all mouse like so you want that cold. Just nicer to bite into. And by the way - that is Amy's gossip magazine. Just for clarity.

Frog

Don't worry, I'll get to the frog thing later. It is probably not worth it and you'll be very confused when you read it but.. Yeah. 

So today, we started out thinking that it was the last day before Amy's inset days kicked in then the start of the new school year. So we decided to go shopping to stock up on things for lunch box's rather than going to Tesco's at the end of every week. We hopped off to Tesco and then to Asda and pulled in a pretty impressive haul of stuff. Should last a while. The thing I am most happy about is that it made me tidy up some areas of my room. I am planning to tidy a lot of it so it is nice on the eye.. I mean, it's still messy but everything is piled up in straight lines and divided into sections and.. You get me. I'm the kind of person that can't sleep if an untidy stack of DVD's is in my eye line. 

Food. Woop. We had these tiny little pizzas from Good Fella's I think. It was silly as on the front of the box it said less than 400 calories but then on the back it said less than 500 so.. It is clearly false advertising. Unless the back of the box is including eating the box and plastic around the pizza and then that is just a whole different law suit waiting to happen. 

We spent the afternoon relaxing, watching some TV and some YouTube.. Amy typing away on this thing doing a course which she has.. I helped of course. Not very well because I am a bit of a fail when it comes to knowledge based on children. Oh well, it happened.

For tea we had some lovely pork chops with a waffle and roasties, or rosties.. Both have a little red squiggle under them. Deal with it. It was the first time in a while I actually saw my cat indoors, when it is nice he sort of just lives outside and comes in for food and a fuss then off he goes again. He was quite poignantly watching my dad eat a pork chop as they had the same as us. Creepy. But he just sat there watching, licking his lips until it was all gone then he was happy to leave again. Pork chopless. 

At this point Amy got a message letting her know that she only has one inset day on Wednesday which means one more day of freedom. No idea what to do with it.

So this frog.. When I dropped Amy home.. Was sitting right at her gate. It hopped off down this little runway next to the path to the gate and disappeared off down the path. When I walked to my car it appeared again and hopped onto some gravel. I quite enjoyed watching it hop around on gravel. Where it pushes off and the gravel can move it ends up pushing off harder in one direction and spins a little in the air. Then it lands and where the gravel can move.. Slides around like a little rally car. It probably had no clue what was going on but I enjoyed watching it hop away zig zagging down the path. I'm weird, okay..

So I'm not sure if you'll all recognise Squish if I have or have not put him on here before but.. Here he is. We just thought it would be funny to strap him into the seat belt on the journey. He looks quite sad like a child forced to wear a seat belt.. Safety first.

Pinch Punch..

First day of the month. I didn't do that to anyone today.. And don't do it now because it's bad luck after midday. No one wants bad luck - depending on if you believe in luck. I personally don't because stuff just happens. Tangent.

X Factor is back on! I only started watching it last year with Amy and I must say, I found myself getting quite into it. When I was at school everyone would always be talking about it around me and I sort of just nodded and grunted because I honestly had no clue what they were on about. Until they got the Christmas number 1 like most years but.. Yeah, I watched it last year and I very much enjoyed it. James Arthur was my favourite so I'm glad he won but I haven't heard anything else from him other than his winning single. This year one of the teachers from my old school has apparently entered, I do believe it because she was a fantastic singer. I'm also pretty sure I recognise her from the advert thats on.. The auditions are the best because you get all the bad ones mixed in and they are just so hilarious. Especially when Sharon Osbourne reacted to the 20 year old student singing Air Hostess at the line 'I messed my pants.' Good TV encourages you to save money on a Saturday night.

I understand that Saturday is the night to go out but surely the awkwardness of going out to eat in a packed restaurant with a load of strangers with no guarantee of a table unless you book, and the expectation of a tip for being served on a Saturday night - h'meh about covers it. Not worth it. I know you'll be more tired to go out during the week but it is so much more lovely. Plus you'll make the waiters/waitresses night by giving them something to do other than endlessly clean.

Amy baked some little confetti cup cakes today, they were pretty cute. And tasty. Don't forget the part about them being tasty. The pack came with this little multicoloured sugar disks with you scatter on time of the icing and in the original cake mix so that when they bake, they sort of caramelise and stain the cake. Makes them look colourful when you bite into them. Wuha.

So, Xbox has jumped on the band wagon of offering free games to gold users - about time. At the moment they are offering Magic the Gathering 2013 which I downloaded because it looked pretty interesting and I've always liked the artwork on the cards. I've never collected the physical cards but I've seen them around. It's just a shame when you go to download it they show that they've just released the 2014 version. I know they can't offer that for free but it just makes them seem a little cheap - ha look we've got this new one to make money from, have this old one. Just my thoughts. It was quite confusing at first but once you get used to it, it is quite enjoyable. There are multiple decks to unlock and then special cards to get, a campaign, multiplayer and challenges which appear to only have a few solutions. Good fun. And free. And some gamerscore to boot.

I'm finally making more use of my LoveFilm account as I have started watching Dexter. I've heard a lot about it and so far I am impressed with it. The story is - for those of you who don't know - Dexter works for the police in forensics specialising in blood spatters and patterns. Blood is his life. He is also a serial killer himself, trained by his dad to cover his tracks. But he only kills 'bad' people, like murderers and drunk drivers who kill people with no remorse. I'm about 3 episodes in and it is very good because you get this running monologue in his head which you hear and even though he is a character in the TV show - it very insightful. Makes you think about the conventions we consider normal even though thinking about it.. They're really quite strange. I also watched Prince of Persia on LoveFilm and that was quite shockingly bad. 

This post has been a bit mish mashy I must admit but I just felt like typing whatever came into my mind. Bits and bobs. This and that. First time in a while I haven't mentioned any food! Blog you later.

Day 63
It's actually a picture of me and Amy today. We were messing around with the Photobooth thing on her Mac and there was this effect. My nose is really red in it. I always notice it and I find it strange. The picture is cool but I'm quite impressed with the fact the camera can recognise where the top of your head is!
