Not a Game of Thrones

Why oh why does Sky have to be the only way to see Game of Thrones? I hate knowing the new season has started and at the moment - I can't see it. I do find it odd yet honourable, that despite four episodes being leaked, HBO doesn't care as long as people are enjoying it. I think that is really big of them because I wouldn't be surprised if they lost a lot of money in add revenue because not as many people will be watching.. Which means the companies who paid to have adverts on during the show get less traffic.. Therefore they get angry and ask for money back.. Pfft, I don't know how advertising works - that was probably a load of tosh!

On the subject of games.. GTAV is available to the PC master race, I don't like calling them that but they call themselves that so.. On the band wagon I guess. I seem to surprise a lot of people when I say I have never enjoyed playing any GTA game.. I just don't like it, I don't see the real enjoyment in going around on random killing sprees and all of the story missions are to do with crime - none of which interests me. I do know that the game is about 60GB which is crazy! I don't know if that is the same size on the Xbox or PS4 because now you have to install them.. That is easily like 10% of a base model device on sale at the moment. I guess it is the only problem at the moment, whilst the games are getting bigger and better, so is the storage required and until we can figure out a way to make the information tiny - or storage cheap to commercialise, it's a bit of a trade off to say the least.

Mortal Kombat X is now out as well and it has been quoted as the goriest one yet - and from watching the live streams and YouTube videos - I can quite easily agree. It looks amazing on the next generation consoles, the fighting is as good as ever and the juggling is still crazy awesome to watch. I can honestly say I will probably never bother getting it because as much as I enjoy watching it, I find fighting games horrendously frustrating.. It is all about timing and accurate inputs, of which I cannot do and without that.. You can't really play on the harder settings or get anywhere online. I know this encourages development in terms of your own gameplay, and an arcade stick is the way to go - I don' want to invest and not know if I will enjoy it. Quite happy to watch though, the new faction fatalities are pretty cool as well; it all adds in an extra online aspect which fighting games often lack, there is only so much you can do with them in all fairness.

I feel so bad. I totally forgot to get Lego Marvel Avengers on the Xbox when it was on sale, I checked it again and it had gone back up to full price of £34.99 so.. I shall be leaving that for now. Wait until something else is on offer that I want.

Day 651
It definitely feels like Summer is on the way, the weather has been rather glorious - which is a shame because I am sitting next to the window at work watching everyone else out in the sun.. The Facebook posts and Tweets are coming in about sun burn and Summer 2015. We've missed Spring out apparently - Spring is awesome too, just saying.

Because of this, we decided to go for a wonder to the park which we now seem to enjoy venturing to a lot. It is really nice to just have one literally five minutes away, especially a well kept one with river banks and tree top walks. Maybe best of all.. WILD BUNNY RABBITS.

I know I said rabbits plural, but there was only one filling his cheeks when I took the picture. At this point, we had done a full lap and explored a couple of new paths that we hadn't been on before and were on our way out; we had a little sit down on a bench and this little guy creeped out of the bush and started munching! I am pretty sure it wasn't eating anything because it's cheeks just kept getting fuller and fuller, I just assumed hamsters did that. The thing I find confusing is whenever I see wild ones, they are brown. Does that mean the ones in pet shops that are like black or ginger, are they foreign ones? I may never know. Well I have Google but I am blogging and can't multitask. #guyproblems

To get to this park, we have to walk past a gym which has two or three tennis courts, and most of the year round they are covered with this giant white domes. They were gone today - I honestly assumed they were permanent structures but apparently now. I am more confused because I can't see where the domes would've fitted in or gone!

Day 652
Back on the subject of games, here are the Munchkin gams that I mentioned in my previous post. I am borrowing them from the friends who introduced us to them to play them a bit more and get used to the rules so next time it comes to it - there will be an epic Munchkin battle!

When I am playing, I honestly have no idea how they thought of it. I know there is plenty of inspiration out there like the RPG books where you have to role dice and keep track of your levels. I think the creative side of this would be easier, especially once you have decided a theme. The rules are harder - which is where I think this game has got it right. The rules are sort of ad-hoc so you can decide to trade stuff and what not without needing any special requirements and things.. I'm a happy chappy.

We watched something really strange today called Newzoids - it is a new puppet show where they take the pee out of celebrities and general famous people. This included the royal family, politicians and sportsman. I have never really been a big fan of that type of show because I always feel like they try way too hard to get the joke in and get a laugh from you. I must admit, I did find some bits of it funny when they played off of previous news stories and articles - that I found funny because it was more intelligent humour. Taking the pee out of someone because of the way they are or do things - whether or not it is on a public scale - is bullying at the end of the day. If I did stuff like that to someone in the street, like joking about how they were eating their food, I would probably end up with a quick jab or be wearing their food!

That's all for now. As always, please feel free to check out my social medias all available on top right corner of this page. Blog you later!
